Some nonprofit NIL collectives may not qualify as tax-exempt

Players wanted to be treated as employees, fine. Actions meet consequences. And I hate the IRS, but if they didn't see stuff like this coming with the change, well, maybe it was a bit short sighted. -
Just saw that, very excited.

I'd buy the hell out of that LED light if there was a UNT version

This is the type of marketing we need and it's not hard to do. Morris checking off a lot of boxes for me right now. We'll see if it translates into on field success.

"Update" is not an update. But gonna laugh when the starting QB isn't Gunnell. I don't know how he stayed on the transfer market as a big name for so long unless everyone was giving a lot of credit to his high school career.

Preferred Walk-On Offer - Steve Smedley - QB Conroe Oak Ridge
peanuts104 replied to Uncle's topic in Mean Green Football
Very compact throwing motion. Seems to help him remain accurate and consistent while on the move but definitely a trade off in velocity. Would like to see a little more heat on his throws, but he's very athletic and has good down field vision both as a thrower and runner. -
Austin Aune- Atlanta Falcons Camp Invite

I wanted to make a fair post that had nuance, but I also really wanted to be pedantic. What a ridiculous take. -
Austin Aune- Atlanta Falcons Camp Invite
peanuts104 replied to jtm0097's topic in Mean Green Football
No. AUNE played the high risk/reward. He didn't have to. He could have made better decisions even if the coaches were being dumb. That's part of the QB schtick. Good ones navigate the decisions they have to make on the field and go against the coaches when necessary. -
Bloesch knows the trenches, but that's about it. Not too worried, especially since we're going back to 3-3-5.

Austin Aune- Atlanta Falcons Camp Invite

Given the Falcons QB situation, not sure he'd be in a better position anywhere else. -
He deserves every bit of this dragging. Every bit. And looking forward to dragging Cam next year too.

screw him, bye

I wanted to see Gunnell early on because I wanted to see all of our QBs early on. I had no faith in Aune at the beginning of the 2022 season. My main point is that Gunnell was labeled QB2 on the depth chart all season and he's out, and our QB room is almost identical. That's what I'm talking about in QB evaluation and progression.
-
I mean yeah, but Gunnell was technically our second string for all of last season. Just insane how bad the previous staff was at QB eval.
-
Feel a little bad for him with bad luck and injuries. Seems to have derailed him. But we shouldn't give a scholarship to our 5th string QB. The fact that he sat as the 2nd string QB all last season on the depth chart is mind blowing. Edit: I guess this is also a hot take from a couple of the emotes? This seems pretty tame for me.

At least he wasn't poached by Seth and OU.
