  1. You are not sorry for the click bait. LOL. You wanted us to click on it and that's why you did it. I ain't mad at you. I would have done the same.
  2. I am always willing to commit to it, but for some reason it seems it's for the big money donors. If it is not just for them, then I am willing to commit. I am not rich by any means, but I sure will give.
  3. I initially was upset over this because of the timing and I was just sure SL had something to do with it. Now, I have calmed down. He was recruited by SL and his staff and now they are gone with the exception of PC. Maybe the beginning of Spring Training gave him enough insight to the new staff that he decided it wasn't for him anymore. At the end of the day, it seems he will be gone and no more need to stay on it for me. My energy is cheering for the guys who want to be Mean Green.
  4. I wouldn't be surprised to see Shorter leave if SL is involved. He was getting a lot of P5 love this year.
  5. If I remember correctly, Texas and LSU recruited him hard and he committed to one of them, but when he got injured they both dropped him like a bad habit and his P5 offers dried up. In comes UNT and offers him despite his injury history and he commits to us. That's what makes me think SL is involved. I feel like he was probably telling him before the OU announcement "that I was the only one who truly wanted you and cared for you when no one else believed in you. If I get this job at OU, I would love to bring you in to a P5 school that will give you a lot better chance to go pro than UNT." SL gets the job and two days into spring practice he decides he is going to transfer in May. I don't know any of that to be the truth, but I would be surprised if he ended up somewhere other than OU.
  6. They won't do that because most hope to move up to P5 and don't want to burn bridges.
  7. OU is my bet. SL gets hired and our best TE decides to transfer after SL gets hired.
  8. I am certainly not saying Grant is a bad coach because he is not. I think he is great. I guess what I should have asked is how much do any of you think it is Grant and how many think maybe it was Hodge based off of that person's comment? I don't know because I don't know basketball like that. UNT is the only basketball I watch so admittedly I don't know as much as others.
  9. A comment under this video got me to thinking. Here is the comment. "6. While he does win, I’m worried about his ability to coach without his AHC Hodge. CUSA Rankings: 2017 - 7th 2018 - 9th (Hands Defense to Hodge in offseason) 2019 - 1st 2020 - 3rd 2021 - 1st Not entirely certain McCasland is the defensive guru we think he is. Hodge also has coached an NJCAA national championship so we know there’s good staff backing him." Could Hodge really be the main ingredient in our success? If Grant does go, then we could use his buyout to pay Hodge for at least 3 years.
  10. SalthawkPoke Posted on Mar 20th, 10:24 AM, , User Since 109 months ago, User Post Count: 256 Mar 20th, 10:24 AM 109 months 256 So just looking at the basic PPG and opponents PPG, North Texas isn't that great offensively but their defense is pretty good. A lot like us, except against lower quality opponents. Not sure why they are getting so much respect in this thread. We still could easily lose, but lets not pretend like they wouldn't be last place in the big 12. Another comment from their fan page. If we would be last in the Big 12 then they must be in the basement. Only thing I have left to say to him is
  11. I hope we sold them at a premium. LOL
  12. Now, who is already a member on their forum that can now shut this guy up after this "not impressive team" just dominated the hell out of the Scare cats? I would, but have no desire to join their forum to comment.
  13. I love this interview and his reasoning for staying. It makes me want to go out and buy whatever NIL products he has out there. Does anyone know of products that he may have for sale and where I can buy them?
  14. I think part of her problems are injuries. Every year she has multiple players injured. Jaylen Mallard did not play at all after starting all of last year. I had no idea that Randy Thompson or Keira Neal were still on the team until they were recognized for senior night. Is it the S&C that needs to be improved to keep kids healthy or is it just bad luck? I don't know, but having multiple players missing every year is not doing her any favors. Randy Thompson played a lot her Freshman year and never really played again because of injuries. Keira Neal was injured her Freshman year and played some her sophomore year and never really played again because of injuries. I don't know how you can develop kids who can't stay healthy.
  15. There are certainly more comments. His appears on page three, but you have to click next thread for it to pop up and show the whole thread. It appears many didn't have faith that they would win their first NIT game.
  16. I should post that whole quote on Twitter to MBB so they can use it as fuel to fire up the team and dominate SHSU.
  17. I think the only person on Mac's staff that would go there is Matt Braeur since he is a former player for WSU. However, I doubt if they would give him the reigns of the program without more HC experience.
  18. No one is saying she doesn't need to go. What we are saying is that it's not worth the money to fire her. Outside of maybe 10-20 schools out of well over 300, no one cares about WBB. It's the same reason why the NBA has to subsidize the WNBA. The WNBA operates in a negative deficit and the NBA has to pay them so they can turn a profit. I bet no one on this board can name one Dallas Wings player without Googling it. Why? Because no one watches or cares. I love UNT WBB and Coach Mitchell and want them to win all the time, but let's be honest, how many more would attend the game if she was winning? Maybe a couple hundred more. When I taught at the University of Memphis, there was a reason that the WBB played in the Elma Roane Fieldhouse vs the MBB that played in the FEDEX Forum.
  19. I don't think Jalie is going anywhere. They will let her play out her contract. 98% of the people who are saying she should go do not go to WBB games anyway and that's not because we are not winning. It's because they just don't want to go and watch the women play. It's like the WNBA. No one watches. We can say it's a money sport, but we all know it's not. It's not worth the money to fire her before her contract is up for a sport that no one watches anyway. This is not football and MBB.
  20. Looks like UAB used everything they had against us trying to prove Jordan Walker should have been MVP and they straight got dominated tonight. That goes to show you should play for team and not individual awards.
