It is kind of amazing that BJax and Johnny Quinn have even gotten opportunities in NFL camps, given how they were pretty much ignored in the DD offense for most of their careers here. It's sad to think that we had NFL caliber players here who didn't make it because their skills weren't developed in the ridiculous offense we ran pre-TD. I hope they get the opportunity they deserve.

Florida was 67-3 going into that game, which is ridiculous in any sport. Great win for the Cajuns.

I'm amazed that he hasn't either moved on or changed positions. He's too great an athlete to spend 4 years sitting on the bench waiting for a chance that isn't going to happen. With UT a little thin at RB (by their standards), I would have thought that he could have made the change.

The obstacle for the Stars is that the Wings have owned Turco for his entire career. He's never won at the Joe, and has only a couple of wins total. Marty's going to have to steal a couple of games for the Stars to have a realistic chance. As good as this run has been, I'll go Wings in 6.

Isn't there some kind of loophole that allows for state funding of a football stadium if a dormitory is attached to it? I think the dorm gives the construction an "educational purpose". If so, bring on Radisson Hall!

I wonder how many teams are turning down CBI bids? I can't see teams from the "power conferences" being too interested in this.

If another Belt team gets a bid, it will be interesting to see which of the RPI,W/L record or conference standings are more important. Our record is better than UALR and MUTS, but MUTS has the better RPI of the three, and UALR won the West Division of the Belt. It's probably moot, because I don't think any of the three get picked. We're pretty fortunate to have two in the NCAA as it is (though both deserve to be there).

The sports guys were talking about our opener at KState. They then said "KState will play IN DENTON in 2010". I don't think there is any way that will happen, but I'll defer to anyone with better info.

MUTS were pretty solid down the stretch. Good win for them.

I think we 'll go as far as Keith Wooden can take us. We were a totally different team with him banged up in conference play vs. a healthy Keith earlier in the year. When he and Quincy are clicking, few Sunbelt teams can match us inside.

The Sunbelt really ought to reseed the teams that win the play-in games. Because of the Troy upset, #4 MUTS gets the #12 seed Troy, while #1 USA plays the #8. It doesn't make sense.

Sept 6th vs Tulsa: 42-21 L We don't have Paul Smith at QB to worry about anymore. With any kind of defensive improvement, I think we can win this one at home.

On the Ticket last week, Dunham and Miller ran through the top 20 fastest combine times since they started keeping official records. Seventeen of the 20 were guys that either didn't make a roster or who had no impact in the pros.

JJ would have to get us to the tournament and win a game to get any type of consideration for the job. You can't go into the SEC and expect to recruit without at least a skin of some kind on the wall.
