I broke a 12 game losing streak that dated back to 2007 last night. Was getting a little gloomy at 16-7, but this one felt like it would end well. Good to have the monkey off my back...

Not trying to be funny, but I had heard Chris Washburn essentially became a homeless person after he was kicked out of the NBA for drug violations. I'm glad to see he made something out of his life after all.

I'd rather have Wofford's #14 seed. I think Michigan St is the most vulnerable of the 14 seeds.

It was all about getting Colt's stats padded for his Heisman run. With the cupcake schedule TU played this year, Gilbert or any of the other Top 10 State recruits on the roster could have had 10-12 quarters under their belts. I watched Sherrod Harris play in high school, and he could have started for half of the teams in D-I as a freshman. Instead, he winds up sitting on the UT bench for his entire career watching 56-3 blowouts as a third stringer. I've never understood the logic in doing that.

I completely disagree. We have played the easiest schedule we could possibly put together, and we have 2 wins to show for it. The two wins were against (arguably) the two worst teams in Division 1-a (Ball St and WKU). Army is terrible, and Ohio is below average when compared to all Division 1 teams. Troy and MUTS, while good Sunbelt teams, are also well below average when compared to Division 1-a teams as a whole. The rest of the Sunbelt ranks between #100-#115 among the 120 D-1 teams. The fact that we had "close calls" and "moral victories" against fellow gutter dwellers doesn't in any way make us close to being a good team. With this schedule, 6 wins would barely qualify us as being mediocre, although we would all feel better about "making progress". Two wins, although not unexpected, is a pretty hopeless result.

I called both the blocked FG and the last pick before they happened. With a normal team you would be going out on a limb making calls like that in public. With us, you are just playing the percentages, because those are the expected results, not the exception. I would say it was an unbelievable way to lose, but it wasn't. Sadly, it was very believable and not unexpected.

I can't do this anymore. Way too many hours wasted that I can't get back.

I think it is obvious they completely overlooked the best defensive player the league has ever had.

If we were to take every game last season and improve our performance by 27 points in each game, we would still have wound up at 3-9. That is the gap between being merely a bad team versus the team we rolled out last season. Since I can't see how we improved ourselves by 27 points per game, I can't predict anything better than 3-9. The schedule seems a little easier (not much, but a little) and we should be better defensively, which should allow us to steal a game or two that we didn't have a chance to get the last two years.
