Those guys were TERRIBLE. It reminded me of the early days in the Sunbelt when they consistently had the two old guys that would call us North Texas State. I fully expected to see Followill on the call and was bummed when he wasn't. I did see him on the Okie State game. That was a bummer.

I have nothing against June, but would like to see him go and have the ponies back the money truck up at Larry Coker's house. We need him out of UTSA. I imagine that young program couldn't withstand losing Coker because they sure aren't going to replace with him with a guy of his capability.

I am thoroughly shocked. Beer, SMU and great KO Time and only 22k and change. Very disappointing.

I guess I watched a totally different game. I thought he played average at best and that's at the very best. He never even seemed remotely interested in keeping the ball on the zone option. He stares down his 1st look and that sack he took was terrible. Yes the TD pass that got called back was a good play and the scramble and throw to Kidsy was solid, but other than that, meh. Hopefully he really advances quickly. He has a great QB frame for sure.

What I liked is that he actually KEPT THE BALL on a zone option read. Teams moving forward that scout NT will tell the defense to basically ignore Greer to keep it. He showed ZERO interest in keeping it.

Perfectly said. They are a really bad football team. I just can't believe how far they have fallen off in the last 2 years. Meanwhile how much easier did it just get for Coach Mac and his staff to get recruits that might consider the ponies?

I bet Coach Mac gave them a solid chewing. We should have won that game 60-0. Two drives inside the 10 and we come away with FG's and 139yds in penalties. And a lot of dumb penalties at that. You know he won't tolerate that. After watching the two teams play last week I thought we would win quite easily, but nothing like this. SO GLORIOUS. And how exciting was it to see Dajon and J. Wilson line up the backfield for the future. Good stuff. Greer has a LONG way to go, but SMU fans must feel hopeless because all three of the QB's they trotted out there were terrible.

Also just to add about whether or not people have a specific channel or not. Like we discussed DTV has a sports pack and I am sure all other cable/satellite providers offer the same. If you don't have that pack just call and order for the day then cancel. I can watch the game on any of those listed channels so even though they are regional channels it is technically a national game because anyone with that local FOX channel or paying for the premium sports pack will have it. Everyone in the USA can watch the Mean Green destroy the Ponies. GO MEAN GREEN!!!

PrimeTicket is the LA based version of Fox Sports and they are showing it. But also if have you the Directv Sports Pack you get all of the Fox Stations. They won't black it out. I am sure most all providers have a sports pack type option where you can get all the Fox regionals. 9:00am with beer in hand I will be ready!!

There were two bars on 6th street hanging north texas flags. Don't remember the names because it's possible I had just a smidge of alcohol in me. When we walked into one the id checker said "welcome home." Loved it. I also got a lot of GO MEAN GREEN walking up and down 6th.

SWEET! We are staying at the Doubletree very close to that bar!!

Anybody interested in designating a bar to hit up on Friday night or Saturday before the game?

Directv was great for me last season in Los Angeles except for one game. I can't remember which one, but it was blacked out. Obviously it didn't involve a team that had any remote interest to LA except for alums. I called DTV about it and they told me that for some reason the game was being shown in all of California except the LA area. Made no sense to me at all.

I have every version in my amazon wishlist. Need to get wife clearance to then determine which style to buy.

Thanks for the feedback. And for sure it was NEVER a question if I am going to wear NT gear. That is a given. My one customer that did go to NT said he wasn't going to wear it, but I believe I have since convinced him. My UT fan customer predicted the score as UT 62 NT Negative 7 I thought that was a bit of a giggle, but boy oh boy will he be shocked when we come out of there with a win.

Hello All, I'm giddy as I just bought my tickets for the game in Austin. I am taking a couple of customers. One of whom is a HUGE UT homer and the other actually went to NT. I bought seats in a section called the "chairbacks club" or some such. I did so because it has a full bar, restaurant and patio. Is anyone familiar with this section? If so will it be poor form for me to go there in North Texas gear? It doesn't really matter because I am going to do it regardless, but just curious. I figure it's not a big deal because it isn't like I'm an OU fan in that section. I could see that causing problems. Thoughts? Patrick

IMO, none get drafted. For sure roster invites are Brelan and Orr. Even Zach might be a stretch unless he could convert safety. But considering he was so productive in college he probably gets a look. I don't see much after that though. Just to be realistic.

I'm pumped because a customer of mine is a buyer at H-E-B and is a huge UT fan. So I'm taking him to the game. When unt wins it might hurt my business with them but atleast I'll witness a unt win in Austin! I'll take that trade off.

The helmet was gorgeous. I was getting texts from a lot of people that know I went to nt commenting on how nice the unis were. I'm telling you, love it or hate that stuff makes a difference. We need more of that.
