1 big step forward with the win against Creighton, 20 big steps back with this loss. Pitiful performance -

Where do I go to become a MGC member? I just graduated a couple of weeks ago and haven't received anything trying to get me to join. -
It's a Christmas Merchandising Miracle!

Glad the Fairview location has some good merchandise. The Fort Worth location only offers up 3 different t-shirts, but they carry a whole rack of UTA gear. -
This Year's Recruiting Class - Per Rating Services

"3. Its about winning dummy: Here is the last suggestion from us, someone in the North Texas Presidents office, needs to sprain paint on the wall of very one from the President down to the lowliest administrator that it is about the winning dummy. The most successful mid major programs begin the winning process not with the HEad Coach, but with the President of the University. In truth, it has never been clear to those of us who follow College Football, that the North Texas leadership has ever fully understand how important a winning football program is to the school. Heck were not ever sure if previous North Texas President's even knew the school has a football team. Until there is commitment to win from the top-down at North Texas, the Mean Green faithful will be doing what they are going to be doing this Bowl Season, watch other programs compete on tv and wonder , yet again, what could have been ." It may just be that i'm an eternal optimist or that I'm drunk on the mean green kool-aid, but I feel good about this team going into conference play. We've really only had 2 bad games this season (Iona and Okie St). This team has performed far better than I ever thought it would. I don't see any reason why we can't make a run during conference play. But then again..I may need to add something to the kool-aid another month down the road...

As much fun as it would be to see Devonte Fields terrorize C-USA, there is no way in hell we bring him in. If Mac and DW can't get along just imagine how much he'd like Fields....

Navasota QB - Shelton Eppler - Sets National Passing Record
meangreen15 replied to greenit's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
http://highschoolsportsblog.dallasnews.com/2014/12/navasota-qb-shelton-eppler-an-offensive-lineman-three-years-ago-now-holds-state-record-for-passing-tds-in-a-season.html/ he's still pretty raw when it comes to being a quarterback. It'll be interesting to see what strides he can make in the next year -
It's funny how one pickup can completely change your outlook on things. I'm a sucker for the recruiting season and the excitement that comes with it. This commit has given me some hope for the '15 campaign. Welcome aboard DaMarcus! GMG

MGB: Breaking news -- Wesley arrested on theft charges
meangreen15 replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Basketball
Based on his track record, you wouldn't say this if he played for any other program in the country. He hasn't made grades and has routinely had off the court issues. Greg seems like he is a really troubled kid. I hope he can start to get his life together, but he needs to do that somewhere else. -
I would be shocked if he isn't smu bound

What does everyone think of the Spread Offense
meangreen15 replied to meangreen15's topic in Mean Green Football
Agreed, but it might help us recruit one who is. What qb wants to play in this stale offense for 4 years? -
the offensive line.

I think switching to the spread would greatly help our team. If nothing else, I think we could use it as a selling point for recruits. Kids all over the state are playing in the system and it gives them the opportunity to put up huge numbers. I know its against Mac's style, but times have got to change! He has lost all momentum and he is losing the team. We have no rhythm or consistency on offense. Period. GMFP used to be anti spread, and look how this year has turned out...
-
THAT YOU PLAY TO WIN THE GAME! We are the least aggressive team in all of college football. What we lack in size, we make up for by being one of the slowest teams in college football. I hope some of the kids we redshirted this year will pan out. If they don't, we wont be sniffing 6 wins anytime soon.
-
I have major respect for them too. I'm just sick of everything coming back to DT on this board. They are the two that week after week keep bringing him up. He's gone, lets move on.

I think we're a garbage CUSA team as well, and our record shows it. our 3 wins are against teams who's combined records are 3-25.
