  1. I find it funny that everyone on this board continues to rip Dajon, but then y'all want to support Demarcus Smith. Why do you support a guy who by most accounts hasn't passed a single semester of college? Why do you support a guy who wasn't even able to qualify academically out of high school? Why do you support a guy who hasn't played a down for UNT? (and there is a good chance he never will) Demarcus Smith hasn't shown he's reliable or that you can count on him at any point of his career! Dajon has made mistakes, but at least his mistakes still allow him to suit up on gameday.
  2. Greer had a 0.1 QBR in that game, and McNulty had a 0.0! Greer threw WAY more bounce passes than completions that game! I don't care what the competition level was it was the most pitiful thing I have ever seen! That disbanded UAB team also won 6 games and went .500 in conference. It's not like that game happened against a 1-11 team.
  3. Our quarterbacks were 3-17 for 15 yards and 4 picks vs Texas. They also had a combined -37 yards rushing. So they accounted for -22 yards and 4 turnovers.....how is that not the worst QB play you've ever seen?
  4. He also wasn't that great vs SMU. He missed on some easy throws in that game
  5. http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/12590918/oklahoma-state-cowboys-mulling-travis-ford-firing "The move would trigger a buyout worth at least $9.6 million, according to the Oklahoma newspaper, which reported the amount as the remainder of Ford's contract"
  6. Glad they are returning to Fort Worth, but I hate that it's in the middle of the day.
  7. I guess you can call Lee a NFL QB even though he got cut before the regular season. Saying Kirby Freeman was a NFL QB is like saying Derek Thompson was an NFL QB. I don't think he ever made it to a training camp. The point was all 3 were disappointments with the hype and expectations that surrounded them coming out of HS.
  8. Jarrett Lee, Kirby Freeman, and Colby Freeman. JW has been the best of his bunch so far.
  9. Look no further than the story of PJ Tucker. I see a lot of similarities between him and Tony.
  10. Fort Worth is all about TCU, they averaged over 40,000 for all of their home games this year (including the Samford game). The reason I would take their model is because they created this success in the same region as us, and they built their way up to the P5 level. And to your basketball note, both of their programs finished with above .500 records. The men went 18-15 on this year and played in a conference that we wouldn't have been able to win 1 game in. They also beat both Ole Miss and Mississippi St in non-conference games. If their basketball leaves much to be desired then what can you say about ours? They also have one of the top baseball programs in the nation...what is wrong with this model?
  11. I remember when his niece used to play basketball at TCU. People would line up the entire game to get his autograph and he would sign just about every single request. Glad to hear he just wants to sit back and watch his son play.

  13. Can you elaborate on this? I thought it was just one class holding him up.
  14. In all of the classes I took at UNT, I'd say at least 75% of the students lived outside of Denton. Granted this is skewed because I only took my upper level courses at UNT, but still this was pretty surprising. My capstone class last fall only had 3 students (including myself) out of 30 who lived in Denton. I've always considered us a commuter school, but I guess that's because I experienced that first hand.
  15. Charlie's takes way too long for me, I went there about a month ago and it took 25 minutes to get my meal. I think Kincaid's, Dutch's, Tommy's, and Fred's all have a better burger. In-N-Out over on 7th has been open for 3-4 years. That location gets a lot of late night business from people leaving the bars.
  16. I like this idea. I wonder how many kids would be willing to take us up on that. It could definitely help us change the perception of being a music school.
  17. Graduated HS in 2010. Applied to all of the schools besides OU, and they all offered me instate tuition or instate plus a small amount (no amount was greater than 1500).
  18. Surprised we weren't doing this already. A lot of out of state schools already offer Texas kids instate tuition. Off the top of my head I can think of OU, Okie St, LSU, Arkansas, and I think even Ole Miss did when I was in HS.
