Yeah...can't say that I'm a fan of this idea. My gf will be graduating this Spring too, so it looks like I'll be there regardless. I just don't like the idea of possible bad weather, nor do I like dragging that ceremony out any longer than it needs to be.

I was wondering if anyone else would be up to make a GMG.com group for ESPN's college bowl pick em' game. I always enjoy doing it every year cause it gives me a little more reason to be excited for games I wouldn't usually care for. I'm thinking about setting up either tonight or tomorrow, so I'll provide a link to it once I open it up. So, anyone else in?

If anything, it'll remind me of the game we had 3 years ago against MTSU when Dunbar ran all over the place. I will never forget the MTSU fan behind us during that game, after growing frustrated of the constant runs, just randomly yells out "THEY'RE GONNA GIVE IT TO NUMBER FIVE, JUST A HEADS UP!!". Cracked me up for the rest of the game.

I still plan on going, but it looks like I'll prolly be going alone since I'm sure the gf will want to stay in her apt. Just gotta bust out the poncho and hope for the best. GMG.

I just don't see how this is such a problem. I always avoided the student section when I was at UNT mainly because I don't really care to stand. It's cool if they want to, but I'd rather sit and enjoy the game. And if there's an available seat that nobody else is using, I don't see the issue with taking it so as long as I'm not getting in the way of anyone else. Plus I'm really not a fan of when arena staff are super strict on checking tickets when there's no practical need to.

Currently at the game. I wanna get up to grab another drink but am too embarrassed to be seen in my UNT hoodie to get up and get one. El Paso has been a fun trip, but this game sucks. So hard.

Any news on the tailgate? I'm prolly gonna get to the stadium a couple hours early to check it all out. Also sorry I couldn't make it last night, I have no car and the bus would have taken forever so I went to the UTEP bball game instead. I did run into a couple UNT fans though, so that was cool.

Good to see UNT win by a decent margin. Wish I could have made it.

Did anyone else notice that beer is also being sold at b-ball games? I got one myself (a Stella Artois no less) but didn't notice maybe 2 others that had gotten a beer. Kinda wish there was a little more advertising about it cause I stumbled on it by chance.

I'm actually thinking about taking in a UTEP basketball game that night, but if my bus arrives late then I'll definitely hit up the Riviera.

I'm still impressed at how many UTEP fans came out that day. They were getting blown out most every game yet they still had a great showing. Although I wonder if those fans were just happy to have an excuse to get out of El Paso for a weekend.

Reading through this thread again is giving me a pretty good laugh knowing how quickly this has all blown over.
