  1. I suspect this may have been intentional and @AustinFromUNT got exactly the reaction he wanted. Even when I was a student, it was hard to miss seeing George at a game. I think it was more "doing it for the retweets" than anything.
  2. Honestly, Seth and co. would be a great fit in Lubbock. This worries me, but makes me happy about the direction we're heading.
  3. Not much to cheer for so far. Pick your battles.
  4. Maybe it was just Kiffin hatred but I've heard it, if not on this board.
  5. Anyone who thought Kiffin couldn't coach or win at this level was kidding themselves. That's a relatively young and experience mofo. Yes he's shady as all get out, but he's turned this team around. Is that an excuse for our performance? Absolutely not. This is all on our coaches. Still a lot of season left and still a division championship within grasp. Very young team and I'm not going to meltdown based on one game. Too much potential shown up to this point.
  6. Hate to say this because anything can happen, but if we win today and LaTech loses, we essentially wrap up the division. Don't shot the messenger.
  7. I was concerned by the departure of Perry for Biaggi, who had very little experience. Those concerns seem validated. That's one phase of the game we are clearly losing almost every game. I appreciate his somewhat unconventional style this year in practices, but it's time to make adjustments.
  8. I'd venture to guess they finally hired a young person. Perhaps one of our many very creative students.
  9. The buzz is starting to spread. I've had friends unconnected to the program ask me about Mason & SL recently. Really need to keep the momentum going and move toward a signature bowl win, hopefully against a P5 in or close to our own backyard. One week at a time for now.
  10. May I add that I still believe you're more likely to find overlooked guys in places like Oklahoma and East Texas (see: Jeff Wilson/Mason Fine/Rico Bussey, etc.), than in DFW.. Don't get me wrong, I want to recruit in our own backyard, but it's harder to be overlooked in this coveted of a recruiting area.
  11. Did not expect us to be this flat after the 1st quarter fast start.
  12. Everything said above and this. The khaki shorts uniforms they wear during hotter games are horrible. You can hear the musical talent when they play, but I agree the lack of creativity and excitement with their performances has always bothered me.
  13. I noticed the same earlier, I honestly think they just forgot about us because we had a bye. CBS and another website both removed us from their bowl projections. Personally, I'd be super stoked for New Mexico vs Boise State.
  14. Watching a lot of CUSA action today for the first time, there's no reason we shouldn't be in the mix to contend. I don't even mind "jinxing it," no team's offense looks even close to as good as ours.
  15. Wow LaTech's special teams coach is going to have a sleepless night tonight.
  16. Can someone watching explain how LaTech's kicker missed 2 extra points in a row? Just bad kicks or was one blocked?
  17. Hard to say until year's end, but I will say that this team has far more potential for sustained success than 2013 and a much better overall coach. I've also been more entertained by this team so far. 2013's ST/Def was exciting but the offense of that team wasn't the most electrifying.
  18. I think that's essentially the idea of an Air Raid offense/team. It's "we're going to force you to out pass us, and good luck." It seems to have more success at this level than the higher level where you have bigger guys on both side of the ball. Leach is making it work at Washington State, however. Rooting for him/them hard.
  19. I was looking at the NCAA stats on my phone, they must have used total points.
  20. We are now currently 12th in the nation for total offense.
  21. Fine, Guyton, and Wilson are the most entertaining players I've ever watched at North Texas.
  22. I'd venture to say we will have one of the top ranked teams offensively in the nation. Incredible.
