  1. Man we are hanging in there. Surprised how quiet this thread is still--we were 29 point dogs in this one...
  2. I think this is at least partially because of our blowout losses to teams that aren't even ranked. Couple that with reputation issues with the program and the conference. All we can worry about is what's ahead, and if you win out they almost can't keep you from being ranked in my opinion.
  3. They likely asked UNT & FAU and both said they wouldn't choose the Bahamas if they win.
  4. I would think the first and second picks in the conference would want a P5 team regardless of location. That would mean the HoD & Indy bowl as fill-ins. I could also see FAU wanting to stay home and play a good G5 team in the Boca bowl as well.
  5. I saw on his twitter he's leading the team in sacks.
  6. This board's obsession with English is right up there with...This board's obsession with Raveon Hoston.
  7. Yeah, that's real cool. A kid is possibly paralyzed. Your lack of social awareness is alarming.
  8. On FSSW too. Seems to me a common denominator in watching some games is the decision making has to get better. Some of these guys just need good coaching, which they haven't had. Stuff like not paying attention to a ball being passed leading to turnovers or passing into crowded lanes. I think that stuff goes away the longer McCasland has with them.
  9. Why was this thread resurrected? They played Houston a year ago and had no intention of expanding. I've seen nothing about them expanding, dissolving, or losing a team since.
  10. Wish I would have gone to the game now, but have a flight in about 8 hours for my honeymoon. Put the game on at the thirsty lion in Irving during dinner. At first I thought people would be mad they changed the channel from A&M game. Had several people come up to me in my UNT sweatshirt to say they were UNT alumni and were watching. More cheers than I expected in the bar during those last couple drives. The fan base is there, just have to tap it!
  11. Kid is a sophomore. Coaching change or not, think about that.
  12. What's always amazed me about this team is our ability to pretty elite college running backs, even in our worst years.
  13. This BeIn announcer is in love with Fine and I don't blame him.
  14. Should win, yes. But we didn't finish much ahead of them in the RPI rankings last season. In fact they may be our last D1 opponent we play this season that we did finish ahead of. I'll certainly take this win.
  15. I would definitely argue he's the best defender as well. At least from what we've seen so far.
  16. I'd also like to point out that its my belief and the belief of many on here that Seth Littrell was ultimately a Smatty hire as well. RV made has always made some decent to good hires in women sports. His downfall was in the revenue-generating sports hires, especially in recent years.
  17. Yeah but everyone did tonight in my opinion. Ton of turnovers and lots of guys looked out of position early. But yes, Temera was one of the few guys who could get a rebound.
  18. As far as coaching style goes - McCasland definitely brings a lot of energy. He's very tough on the guys when they do stupid things. He seemed to keep guys out there a long time if they were showing energy and effort, regardless of "pedigree." Hence Temera and Draper both staying out there and getting some points. Didn't know anything about Draper but dude has a stroke.
  19. Watching the game, I didn't take too much away from this one. Definitely reinforced why I don't like early college basketball sometimes. Very sloppy basketball and a ton of fouls. We couldn't get any shots to fall in the beginning but hung with them after that. Nebraska took advantage of having the bigger, stronger team at the beginning but there were times we looked a lot faster than them. Still don't know much about this team from either of the first two games in my opinion.
  20. Also for those who didn't watch--Woolridge had a bad foul to take him out of the game. McCasland chewed him out pretty good and made him go shake the other coach's hand. Never seen that before.
  21. Woolridge is a lot of fun to watch. Lots of energy on both sides of the ball. Liked the effort from Temara and Draper tonight--two guys I didn't think a lot about to start the season. Disappointing game from Roosevelt Smart. Really need him to produce this season if we are going with this guard-heavy line-up. Watched it on Big10. Bad injury. Came down on it awkward and his foot looked limp if I remember correctly.
