Does the bowl committee invite both teams for a social gathering like dinner or such? Does North Texas offer a campus tour to the visitors? How long will Miami be in Texas and where will they practice? Just wondering if these things are still part of a bowl event...the human/distraction stuff.

That place could be a monster.

I think SMU is looking at the long haul for moving up the food chain. They have to show commitment and one of the ways to show commitment is to keep and support the current HC. They have the funds and I think they have the desire.

My hope is for us to be a major player in all aspects of university life and a solid, high quality athletics program is a vital ingredient in that goal. North Texas' hiring of Wren Baker was a home run and keeping him is a no-brainer. I have no doubt, there are other schools that would love to hire him away and Neal Smatresk wants to pro-actively prevent that. The BOR obviously supports that notion and our major donors are stepping up. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. I could go on but, it's 4 am and I just got up to answer nature's call so, to answer the question, yes.
