  2. I’m with you - would love to see Seth be the Chris Peterson (former Boise great coach) of North Texas. Unfortunately even Chris took the money and eventually went to Washington. I do feel like if Houston had nabbed a spot in the Big 12 Tom Hermans might have stayed. When you are successful there’s always a lot of people whispering in your ear saying the grass is much greener on the other side. truth is UNT has come a LONG way to the point in where we kept a coach from going to a Big 12 school (K-State). reality is the building and winning never stops. You can’t afford to be complacent anymore.
  3. Voted again and again lol! He’s up to number 2 now!

  5. UNT RELEASES ANNUAL REPORT The North Texas Athletic Department has released its 2018 Annual Report, a review of Mean Green success and performance during the 2017-18 seasons. It is the first such annual report during the tenure of Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker, and part of a commitment by the athletics department to provide transparency through an annual report. The report includes information on UNT's: Academic accomplishments Athletic performance Community involvement Facilities construction Fundraising and development Attendance Awards and championships "One of the areas in our Mean Green strategic plan focuses on accountability and transparency," Baker said. "The annual report is one way we are sharing performance and progress in the athletic department to our stakeholders. Our goal in future years will be to release this report late summer following each academic year and following our fiscal year close in August. We appreciate everyone who is helping us accomplish our mission of building champions and preparing leaders." The 2017-18 season was one of the most successful seasons for North Texas athletics, both academically and athletically. It was the first season since 1977-78 that football, men's basketball and women's basketball all finished with a winning record, and five teams overall had winning records – the most in school history. Additionally, ticket sales and fundraising revenue set record numbers, led by the two largest gifts ever received by Mean Green athletics. The report is available at meangreensports.com/annualreport.
  6. You are correct they used to place them but it really doesn't happen much anymore.

  8. Doug Meacham (born December 16, 1964) is an American football coach. He was the offensive coordinator at the University of Kansas. Meacham was hired by TCU to be their offensive coordinator on December 12, 2013.[2] In his first year at TCU in 2014 he was a finalist for the Broyles Award.[3] Meacham played college football at Oklahoma State University, where he was an offensive lineman.[4] Meacham was hired by David Beaty of the Kansas Jayhawks as the offensive coordinator in January 12, 2017. Meacham was fired on October 10, 2018.
  9. Always hire from within if you can. You have 2 good options already there. Pass Game Coordinator Tommy Mainord WR Coach Jo-el Filani
  10. Has anyone heard if Shakeem will be back this season? I knew he was injured.
  11. #8 Mason Fine - North Texas A diminutive player who almost headed to Oklahoma State, the 5'11", 185-pound Mason Fine is doing great with North Texas. The gunslinger brought big-time passing talent to head coach Seth Littrell and offensive coordinator Graham Harrell's spread offense. He's already at 9,358 passing yards and 64 touchdowns with a completion rate of 63 percent through his first 36 games. Set to be a senior with the Mean Green in 2019, Fine may be set for his best year. His accuracy, yards per attempt and efficiency all increased in 2018. He cut his interceptions to five as well, honing his craft before the snap and understanding how a defender's leverage affects passing windows. He's really shined in his play under pressure. According to Pro Football Focus, Fine had an adjusted completion percentage of 79.9, threw for 898 yards under pressure and only had three turnover-worthy plays in such situations. Mix his dynamic downfield throwing with his composure, and he'll be a can't-miss watch. read more: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2809912-11-best-qbs-who-will-be-returning-to-college-football-in-2019#slide4
