No! No! No! What we don't need is more 1A, in state rivals. We already have them. What we need to do is elevate our football program so that we are in CUSA and play UTEP, Houston, Rice, SMU and other teams from that conference. Plus, games with TCU would been a must. Why do we worry about Texas St and UTSA? Let's think beyond those schools. If you people want to play them then drop the program down to 1AA Southland level. Then you can add SFA to the schedule. But I won't be around to see it. No more 1AA.

Good stuff untbowler. As much as I love football and basketball, there are other sports at NT that are suffering. Tennis anyone? The gals lost yesterday to a 1-8 FAU team. Not much of a team at all. And the tennis coach has never held a head coaching job until NT came along? What's up with that? Looks like we find the cheapest priced coaches and put them in a HC position. No matter they don't have the experience. Getting more frustrated with each loss, regardless of the sport.

So why not use some "reverse psychology" on the bastards? When the 'stangs come to Denton in the fall, treat them with dignity, respect; create a wholesome, yet unforgetful college game day experience. Kill them with kindness. None of the taughting, clear the stands type of brawl that took place, so I've been told, back in 1992. We need to become SMU's friend at every turn. Smooze the SMU officials. We need to get them on our side. But, be sure to beat the sumbitches on the football field.

No, Jeff Wilson, along with Rick V. and the director of FB operations at NT (name escapes me), were guests during the telecast. Lot of talking and discussion on the 2-9 season, facilities, etc. The picture quality was so so, small viewer, but to out-of-towners like me, it was well worth the monthly fee. I think they'll improve the quality and presentation in due time.

What about the offensive line? How did they do?

Any of you watch the scrimmage on the Premium site? If you did, what did you think of Jeff Wilson of the Star-Telegram. He was not very complimentary to NT or the Sun Belt conference. He's entitled to his opinion, but man was he brutally honest!

Travis, your assessment is the same as mine. Based on last night's scrimmage and watching it from 300+ miles away on a little bitty screen off the internet feed, I thought Ians had a fine night. Wilson is fast, and maybe the white team line was not effective, but he did not live up to my expectations. *Silver Eagle, please don't hate me.

Isn't this what all Mean Green fans should have been doing for the past 40+ years? Plummer talks about the 100,000 alumni living in the DFW area - if half of them would buy one or two season tickets each season and contribute something to athletics each year, we wouldn't be in the shape we are presently in. My opinion is that there are people in higher places that just do not want to see North Texas move up athletically under any circumstances. I know, sounds like a conspiracy theory. Well it damn well could be.

If that's the case, and we are stuck with Fouts and ignored by CUSA as a result, then I would push for admittance into the WAC. Like immediately. This program needs to sh!t or get off the pot. Sink or swim in the WAC.
