  1. Please God, don't ever let us go back to the all green uniforms.
  2. foutsrouts, stebo, you both have me really worried now. Fouts is really looking good to you? I'll admit, the upgrades really improve the dump...er..place. But it's sooooooo hard to watch a game there. He is post I made on another thread regarding the internet video feed of the Troy game. "Feed is back for me too. Sad thing is, watching that little screen, I actually feel like I'm closer to the action than my Row 16 seats at Fouts."
  3. Well, I thought the offensive line could have done slightly better. I'm not sure how many sacks Troy got against us, but it was a bunch. Could have account for the 0.7 yard rushing yards per carry we ended up with. Rebuilding or not, this game was not pretty.
  4. Worse offensive line play I have ever witnessed. Realize we have seven Troy turnovers, that's 7 Troy turnovers and only 7 points.
  5. Feed is back for me too. Sad thing is, watching that little screen, I actaully feel like I'm closer to the action than my Row 16 seats at Fouts.
  6. Anyone think either of the head coaches for Rutgers or USF will be snapped up by one of the big programs? I do.
  7. The way I see it, USF is an 11 year "shake and bake" college program. They haven't earned the right (years playing football) to be called an underdog. An "eye-popping" program that went for none existant to #2 in the nation, yes. The underdog, no. Without looking at the history of Rutgers football from day one, up until the past year or two, and this year, Rutgers was the true "underdog" since the beginning of their program. Think about all of those 0-10, 1-9, 2-9 seasons those poor ba$tards have had. Me, I'm glad Rutgers won. Am I jealous of USF? Absolutely! Jealousy or not, I'm still glad Rutgers won.
  8. Wouldn't Chaper 11 negate Movie Gallary's $250,000 annual commitment to Troy?
  9. You don't throw away a sure win against FAU, then lose to a team like ULL and call it sandbagging. That's two conference games. Doubt if Dodge was sandbagging.
  10. I think TCU's exposure has suffered since moving to the MWC. Granted, the MWC is higher profile than CUSA, the WAC, and certainly the Sun Belt. But has it really improved TCU's stature on the "big time college football" landscape? I just don't know. What a shame that the Presidents of TCU, UTEP, SMU, Rice, North Texas, Tulsa, and Houston won't get together and say "enough" of this madness. That's the nucleuous of a new direction for everyone. Invite a couple of more universities that fit the footprint (Tulane, La Tech), create a new conference, and never look back.

  15. You mean you didn't enjoy 20% interest rates? All of you will be happy if / when Hillary gets in offense. Just be prepared to open your wallets. And for those of you blaming Bush on our entry into Irag, need I remind you that events leading up to 9/11 were all on "BJ" Bill's watch. Two embassies, World Trade Center, the U.S. Cole, and 9/11. What did I miss? And all of Washington, prior to Bush taking office, talked of "weapons of mass destruction". Gentlemen, this country is in a mess. And it's not all because of Bush. Changes that I have seen over the past few years is very disheartening. -No display of God at any Government building or complex. -Erasing of "In God We Trust" from all currency -Morality is at it's lowest. I enjoy a skin flick just like the next guy, but on prime time TV? C'mon. How long before you can watch XXX hardcore on standard cable TV channels? My guess is less than three years. -Immigration? There is no such thing. Let's just feed and cloth the world with open borders. Why can't immigrants come to this country the correct way? Like my 96 year old Sicilian father did when he was 9. -Whether you like the Rush's of the world or not, the fact that attempts are being made to eliminate anyone from free speech reeks of Nazism and Communism I could go on and own but I'll say one more thing. If these changes in our country are solely for the political gain of beaurocrats and the elite few, God help all of us. There is so much more but I'll stop now.
  16. FirefightnRick. A legend in his own mind. Just kidding, Rick. Happy Birthday, and thanks for all that you do to keep the traditions alive at UNT.
  17. Cooley, are you done? Just kidding. Those are all good points and appreciated by this Mean Green fan. I think many of us, myself included, tend to look at too many stats, rankings, rivals videos when talking about how good certain recruits are, and how they will elevate our program. For the record, I do think that Vizza is a good one. The ULL game was his coming out party of sorts. Yes, he stumbled early on; maybe it was Freshman stage fright, or whatever. ULL was a good game to baptize the lad. I think our biggest problem this year and in years past has been the lack of quality linemen. Both defensive and offensive. This is not a knock on our present group, we just don't have enough of the good ones. Speaking of linemen, I think Kelvin Drake will end up being one of the top centers for UNT that ever wore the Green and White, regardless of shade and font. I have not counted the number of total snaps he's taken from the spread offense in five games, and only one miscue against SMU, but this guy is very special in my book. I hope Todd Dodge's recruiters are out combing the high schools for good, quality linemen. Hell if it was me, I'd spend half of our recruiting class on linemen. We have enough defensive backs!
  18. My daughter has been with the Texas A & M Habitat For Humanity for 3 years and has spent here Spring Breaks helping build homes in Georgia, New Mexico, and Texas. It's wonderful thing all of these college students are doing.
  19. Good thing this is happening or people would be sleeping with the fish. If you know what I mean.
