  1. Yes! I would like for Woody to line up in the slot WR, and RB, and any other position on the field-The guy can do many things on the field. Coach Dodge likes to mis-match opponents- Can you see Woody on a reverse-option to run or pass play? If he cannot play QB, I hope the coaching staff can find a way to get him in on special plays--after that amazing TD run/scramble against the phonies last year, the guy can make things happen!
  2. I will predict that Jamario Thomas will score our first Touchdown--not on one of his great runs, but, off a pass in the flat, then a 50yd run after the catch!
  3. If he is from Prosper, I wonder why he is not interested in North Texas?
  4. from the video- looks like she has tatoo's and she is only 16-17 years old? Geeze--what are these kids doing? Idolizing Dennis Rodman or are tats a hood thing?
  5. I was reading the Rivals story about Cyrus Gray, the 4 star recruit from Desoto. Under "The Lastest" paragraph, "Cowboys satellite camp at Desoto High School" How can Okie State hold a football camp at DeSoto High School in tallent rich south Dallas county? How many football camps can a college have at high schools across Texas-like a traveling circus-city to city? Does this mean, North Texas could hold a camp at SLC or Trinity HS? How about another one at DeSoto HS! Give the kids a chance to see Dodge Ball!
  6. Read "The Latest" paragraph--"Cowboy's satellite camp at DeSoto HS" I did not know that Big 12 colleges could hold "satellite" camps at one of the best tallent laden HS in Dallas. How many "satellite" camps can a school have every year? Maybe North Texas could hold a "satellite" camp at SLC, or Trinity HS, or any of the top HS programs in Texas!
  7. The muts claim the North Texsa fans trash their school on all the SBC boards. The muts trash anything and everthing about North Texas- Well, the muts also trash the Troy fans on thier own board. This time, the muts took nasty pot shots at the Troy Rodeo team. Now, the muts are trashing the true all american sport- Rodeo! Nothing is off limits to the $mu-ish muts. Boy, they have watch dogs checking all the boards for any remarks or statements regarding their athletics or school. Very sensitive fans--they seem to beleive the entire world is against them. But, it is OK for the muts fans to throw out insults, jokes, and snide remarks about the other SBC teams, especially North Texas and Troy. You really want to get to the muts, brag on their kriptonite, WKU! Looks like the games have began! Are you ready for some Dodge Ball!
  8. I would say the DT/NG position. Every school in the country wants quality DT/NG's. Many of the big boys sign guys because they are big-hoping they develop. Speaking of big guys- Troy's multi star DE, Gales, 6-6, 290+lbs, juco, signed with their 2007 class, has been moved to NG. Will ancor thier DL.
  9. Mack Brown kicked him off the team! Good for Mack! There must be more to this story than what is available. From his quote, all he wants to do is to play in the NFL-seems he does not care about college, or even learning anything. Apparently, breaking into cars is a craft he was developing. Now he wants a fresh start? What, start breaking into cars somewhere else? What is next, homes? No, North Texas does not need this type of transfer. Coach Dodge and his staff recriut the players North Texas needs.
  10. I agree- NT needs to make a statement regarding the new FB stadium- I read somewhere the powers in control said a 31,000 seat stadium was in the works. What? But, built with expansion in mind to 35000. What? You have to be joking! When do they expect to complete the expansion-30 years from now? I suggest the "first" stadium must be at least 45,000 seats, with expansion to 60,000 seats. North Texas should be drawing 40k fans a week anyway. It will happen! Build it and they will come!
  11. I watched FoxSports the other night, which was featuring the spring game at zero-U. I could not help but notice the OL/DL/LB's looked like the incrediable hulks! Maybe these players should go to a chemical dependence program to dry out! Again, zero U states they did not known about these supplements. Yeah right! Do they expect me to beleive their training staff, with all their college degrees and bio-medical knowledge, did not know about these chemicals? Do they not read the lables? Do they not complete research on these supplements and ingedients? Do they not follow the NCAA rules and regulations ? Hell no-- they are zero U and they can do what ever they want beause they are above the law, and fair play!
  12. These are the same "phonies" that claimed they would drive up to Denton in their gold hummer, loaded with bags of $$$ to "buy" Coach Todd Dodge into thier soon to be open HC position, after they fire Coach Bennett.
  13. If this prospect has grade issues, why are the Big Boy's so interested in him? What can the Big boy's do to "improve" his grades?
  14. I was checking out Scout.com, went to team directory, North Texas, WOW! Skyline DE Alfred Dupree is to visit North Texas June 17th also- This kid has 24 offers now for this 4 star DE-- wants to go where he can get early play time! Dupree is 6-2, 219lbs, speed rush type of player! Offers form LSU,Ala,Mich,Louisville,FL,----and North Texas!
  15. I watched some of the game. Scoggins wore #40. Looked as big as some of the OL/DL guys. Played TE, and special teams coverage. I did not see alot of his play, so I cannot give a good recap.
  16. I like DCTF because it has Texas colleges, and Texas highschool reports. I do not beleive DCTF is the best mag for national information. Steels to me, is the best for national information once you understand thier "code" system. I agree all the mags are blah blah blah--seems like the authors just copy each other. When DCTF comes out, I know football season is around the corner. This isjust something I look forward to.
  17. DCTF is supose to be hiting the newstands Monday 06-11. I live over in south Grand Prairie, so I have been checking the local Wal Mart, and Kroger- Sometimes, the DCTF magazine will be in a "display shipper" out by the check-out stands, and this display arrives early to the stores so I will check the stores over the weekend. I saw Steel's at Wal-Mart, but I just read the slanted NT report. There were a couple of statements about how DD was a great coach, and that TD was just a good HS coach. The story implies that NT will be 1-11 or 2-10 with our best chance for a victory will be the last 2 games of 2007. Promotes Alexander as out best OL player. More blah blah blah from so called sports writers!
  18. I agree that we have never seen anything like this before--early commitments/pledges! I like hearing about the work Coach Dodge and his staff are puting into recruiting, and the QUALITY of players on the target list! Even though this is June, Coach Dodge and his staff know which players they want, and go after these players. I have read their are several more commitments/pledges the staff wants to keep confidential--this fact will drive me crazy until we can see who the players are. I am sure later in the year, there will be more exciting news regarding top prospects. I hope the staff does not run out of scholarships too soon because there are players that develop later and players that change thier minds about where they want to go to school. Coach Dodge and his staff know who they want, so I trust their judgement! I have never felt this good about North Texas recriuting in all the years I have followed North Texas football! Outstanding!
  19. Do you beleive in the Mean Green? I do, and I beleive in Coach Dodge, his staff, and the reborn again North Texas football players!
  20. I was cheking DCTF web site today- Most all Texas schools have pledges listed, but, there is nothing about our 2008 pledges. What organization notify's DCTF regarding our pledges? How does DCTF find out this information?
  21. I am not sure about this- at the MTSU stadium, do they have signs or awnings that say "Sun Belt Champions" ? I remember seeing a photo of their stadium and noticed the sign. Since they lost to North Texas, can the muts justify they are SBC champions, and put up these signs ?
  22. Over on the blue raider zone board, there is a long discussion about changing the name of their school. I suggest they just rearrange the words, like this-- "Middle University of Tennessee State" = MUTS In honor of their co-championships and their second place finishes.
  23. On the Football attendence, the schools that are out in the middle of no where have the best fan attendence. No competition from "pro" sports. Only thing in town to go to on a Saturday. This fact really helps attendence in these areas. People from miles around go the games. What else is there to do? Look at the 3 old SWC schools- Houston, Rice, SMU--right in the middle of major metro areas that have pro sports. I am surprised that Houston, with all of their success does not pack their house. Too much entertainment competition. Middle of the pack, UAB, that plays at Legion Field in B'ham ( a copy of the Fair Park-Dallas area) draws 23000 avg for football crazy Alabama. I can see NT breaking attendence records this year! I would like for NT to avg about 25000 plus for every home game this year! Better yet, 32,000 for each game! SRO's-- Give Coach Dodge some time, start winning, and the fans will come!
  24. Coach Todd Dodge and his staff are doing a terriffic job! I beleive their recruiting efforts will just keep getting better and better- All of these kids keep up with who is going where. The more top athletes that commit to NT will encourage other kids to take a close look at what Coach Dodge and North Texas has to offer. All the kids want to play for winning coaches and programs- exactly what Coach Dodge is all about! I am a little worried about two points. First, I really like the early commitments and I hope NT can keep these guys. The second point is, later in the year and into football season, there are always kids that develop and blossom late. I hope the staff has scholarships available for the players later in the recruiting year. I have been following NT football and basketball since 1967-I have never ever seen recruiting for North Texas like this in the past. I am completely blown away! Amazing! This is just the beginning of many great things to come our way! Take that to the bank!
