MeanGreen61- You should post this report on the "blueraiderzone.com"- This will really light them up! Maybe cool off their "we are better than you" attitudes! Gee--the muts sound just like the $muts!

Rivals havs a few video clips of Troy Franklin-- Playing DT--looks like he dominates the whole offensive line! One name for this guy comes to mind, "Stud"!

PineappleWiley is the moderator of the 2nd muts board, "GoMiddle.com". "BlueRaiderZone.com" does not associate with this GMC board, at all. The 2 boards really dislike one another. BRZ is the best of the 2 muts boards in my opinon. PineappleWiley was the guy that stated Jamario Thomas was the most over hyped player in the SBC, as per his North Texas review. I am sure PineappleWiley will be keeping a close eye on the success of the Coach Dodge and his staff with their recruiting efforts, and the top Texas talent coming to North Texas!

You can bet on the DMN will not list this kid on their top 100 area players. Why- because he wants to commit to NT!

While this guy is making up new conferences- lets develop the new imagainary Southwest Conference II -- based on "regional rivals"-- NT, SMU, TCU, Baylor, Houston, Rice, Tulane, UTEP, NMSU, throw in La Tech, LaLa. LaMo, all regional schools, easy to get to, natural rivals, something the fans would enjoy!

What about the U of Houston? Doesn't NT have a winning record against Houston? One of the greatest games I ever saw was the 30-0 trashing that NT gave Bill Yoman and the high power Houston Veer offense at Texas Stadium back in the 70's. Also, how about the last second win over Oregon State! Would Oregon State be considered a "power house"? I think NT has only played OS one time?

I can not make a decision on the better of the two classes- I beleive both are outstanding classes, that reflects alot of hard work, and the value that both Coach Jones and Coach Dodge bring to NT! Their efforts prove that top quality athletes will go to school at NT! The recruiting of top tier atletes will become better and better every year. Add in winning seasons, bowl appearences/NCAA bids, throw in a new FB and Baseball stadiums, WOW! The future of North Texas is in good hands!

And--- Charleston Southern! How can this school justify the $$$ for this type of road trip? Maybe a vacation? Maybe other schools did not want this type of travel expense, and passed on setting a game with Hawaii. Look at Baylor-- road game with Buffalo in Buffalo NY--we all know why Baylor set this game up!

Nothing new here, looks like the author copied other stories- JT --only one yard in spring game? I think JT only carried the ball 2 times in the game, then was held out. Newcomer- Jordan Scroggins- heck- he is still in HS. I can name several others that should have the honor. Cornerbacks- I thought this was a strong point of the Defense. Speaking of big announcements- What happen to the "sand box " training project that DD wanted? Several of the GMG members were to build this.

The job requirements for one person to be held accountable for is over loaded--Just get someone who really cares about the programs, can work and direct support people, and knows how to work with the public! If hayden Fry applied for this job-would you turn him down because he does not have a marketing degree? The job is entire PR, and some creative ideas-not putting up garage sale signs all over the place.

I beleive this is a great signing! This is a kid that wants to play here, and has real BB talent! Looks like this kid has real ball handling skills, and can run a offensive attack! A very good PG skills, and a lot of heart! The kid reminds me of a Joe Hamilton/Spud Webb type of player! Hey- this kid is goood!

I agree- the future is looking very good! JJ is doing a very good job in recruiting the quality players NT needs. I do beleive that NT can be a BB power! I remember the old MVC days, games at the "Snake Pit"-down on the court in your face blood and guts games! What happen to this excitment? Where did it go? The last time I was excited about NT BB was with Coach Blakley, and his run and gun fast break offense--man his teams were something else, and loads of fun to watch! Then, he is gone-I still do not understand what happen and why he left NT. After Blakely left, NT BB disappeared, vanished, and was dead. With Johnny Jones running the show now, I do beleive we as NT fans, have finally got the karma and born again NT BB energy comming back! For the "new" NT fans, its is your turn to feel and see what it was like in the "old" days of NT basketball!

Lets assume that you are a good HS football-or any other sport-athlete that has a real chance for a scholarship. You are not a 5 star recruit-but a good recruit that schools want. I see on the recruiting boards, that some athlete's have multiple colleges listed as their schools of interest. So, what would be your criteria in choosing a school? Would your choice of a school be based on the degree programs, win/loss record, coaches, what your parents want, close to home, etc- For me, if I were being recruited, I would choose a school because of: #1. Has the degree programs that I am interested in. #2. Close to home-I want my family to see me play #3. Player/coach/coaches--bonding, I want to play for a coach that I like, and the coach views me as a person, not a star stud athlete. #4. Good living facilities for the next 4-5 years. #5. Good advisors/tutor program if need. See, I did not mention win/loss record, conference, or schedules. This is my personal criteria for choosing a school. Name your criteria for choosing your school/scholarship.

So the Hilltopers have only 3 SBC teams this year, with the muts, Troy, and NT. For the 2008 season, will WKU have a full SBC schedule, or will WKU still be in a transition mode?

I was over at my mom and dads house Sunday for Mother's day- South Grand Prairie- the Sanyo blimp flew right over the house at a low altitude- neat to watch!

I just checked the BRZ board again, now, my orginal posting is back up on their board!

I posted a 2 part question on "BlueRaiderZone.com" regarding Stephen Wiley and Casey Bowman, and the "GoMiddle.com" web sites. The BRZ fans chimed right in. The 2 web sites are not related-totally independent of each other. The BRZ fans did not have nice things to say about gomiddle, and the moderators, Wiley/Bowman. The BRZ fans do not participate with gomiddle, and verified that W/B even flame their views and postings. Several BRZ fans read the "North Texas Preview" from gomiddle. The BRZ fans stated nothing but praise for Jamario Thomas, and stated the remarks from Wiley/Bowman were typical of their stories/articles. The BRZ fans stated not to pay any attention to these 2 guys--BRZ fans do not like these 2 either. Anyway-I must have started something-my posting was deleated off the BRZ board.

If I were the NT coaches, I would print the remarks about Jamario Thomas, then frame the remarks, and hang the frame in JT's locker, and hang a second copy on the bullentin board! Come game day-- Hey JT, the muts say you are over hyped, over rated, not worthy! Do you think the "HEMI" would get fired up after reading the muts remarks? The muts are going to get flamed! This "preview" has more holes in it than an old minnow bucket! First, you are right, the muts have several "boards"-the "go middle.com" is a hook up for a pay subscription to rivals.com. One cannot reply without subsrcibing. Second- the whole story reads like he copied information from other football publications, newspaper stories, and reading GMG. Third-these "wanna be" sports writers are looking through their blue raider blue glasses. Anway-- I will be so glad when Coach Dodge and his team of redshirts hangs half a hundred on these blue fader muts!

What a real stab in the back to Dallas- If JJ wants to fill his staidum in Arlington, why not call up NT to see if NT would like to play someone at his stadium ? By the way- I drive by that new stadium alot--how in the hell are 100,000 cars going to drive in/out of that part of Arlington? North part of the staidum - Randall Mill Road-2 lanes/stop lights at almost every intersection. Then you have Collins on the west side,same thing 2 lanes n/s, stop light after stop light, then you have Divison on the south border of the stadium, 2 lanes e/w, stop light after stop light. The traffic jams will be a nightmare!
