Other than the NCAA violations, my biggest question mark is why was he let go from Lamar? If he wasn't let go for anything negative, why wasn't he snatched up by any other college football program last season? Does Port Neches have some really good recruit we wanted!

I believe Brint Ryan is our biggest but I could be wrong on that.

Looks like we didn't get #11 for a scholly so we ended up with #13 as a PWO (I hope). Also got the #14 punter.

I'm wondering if we have this guy in the pool. He coached Jojo Ozougwu's big brother in HS. Has coached Texas HS football for over a decade, has coached DLine for a few years now, and has a 6'5" son who plays basketball. I remember people were high on Eric Roark before we hired LeBlanc. Kwahn Drake, Marc Yellock, Jon Fabris, and Brett Diersen were also mentioned from what I recall. Any thoughts on guys you think are likely or guys you just would like that we have a reasonable shot of getting?

Some of the matchups puzzle me. I don't understand putting RS Srs against RS freshmen. I also don't get putting a RS Jr deep snapper against a true freshman quarterback? In what metrics should those guys be the same? Throwing?

I'm going to assume this means his Sailer Academy buddy turned down our scholly?

I wish somebody could tell me why they didn't have the sense to coordinate the Spring Game with the Eli Young Band concert at Apogee. Seems you'd have bigger attendance for both if you did them on the same day.

His hudl film makes me think he is a good player but he doesn't make me say wow like Evan Johnson from this year's class did. I could see recruiting this kid if he was in Denton but I don't understand reaching to Ohio for this guy. Maybe I'm just way off here.

Yes, he has his UH offer pinned. A few days ago he had retweeted something someone had tweeted about our believing in him before anybody else but he has since taken the retweet down which tells me that we are pretty much out of the running. I'm sure he'll have second thoughts once he sees Major Applewhite's record this year but we'll see if that helps him look North.

No source, just an intuition, and a good grasp of human behavior. Based on recent twitter behavior, it is safe to say, he has moved on.

Close to zero chance on this kid, at least until Major Applewhite shows how truly terrible he is at coaching, then we may fall back in the fold. We were the first to offer and if we have a big season and reiterate to him that we believed in him before any others, we might have a shot then. But for now, he is a Houston lock unless the Big12 comes calling.
