  1. Somebody explain how the runner that was hit with the batted ball was called safe? These umpires are horrible.
  2. Good. Offer them a NIL deal and let them pay for their education. They shouldn't receive both.
  3. Wichita St with a wind aided HR in the top of the 5th to make it 2-1. Waggoner is pitching a heck of a game, but we need a few runs to pad the lead.
  4. Game One: Good start. Ladies are up early on WSU, 2-0, in he bottom of the third. Currently we have bases loaded and 2 outs with Ibarra at the plate. We just chased their starting pitcher.
  5. I am out in west Texas and will be watching on "The Plus". It has been windy here and my phone shows windy conditions in Denton with sustained speeds at 18mph w/ gusts to 33mph. Is that accurate? If so, we may have a jet stream headed out to right field.
  6. https://meangreensports.com/news/2024/4/26/womens-soccer-soccer-announces-2024-schedule Entering his 30th season at the helm of the UNT soccer team, the school's all-time winningest head coach John Hedlund announced a loaded 2024 slate as he is just seven wins shy of his 400th career victory. Hedlund, who founded the program in 1995, and his 16-time conference championship squad will host Oklahoma (Aug. 15), Alabama (Aug. 18) and notable conference opponents such as Florida Atlantic (Sept. 12), UTSA (Oct. 3), South Florida (Oct.20) and Memphis (Oct. 27) this season. In total, North Texas will play 18 regular season matches, 10 of which will be at home. UNT's first four regular season matches are all at the UNT Soccer and Track & Field Complex in Denton. UNT's season opener is Aug. 15 at home versus Oklahoma. North Texas is 6-3-1 all-time versus the Sooners and 26-2-1 all-time in home openers.
  7. How is the weather today? I hear it is supposed to be very windy in Denton through tomorrow.
  8. I am fascinated just looking at their portal activity. Michigan lost: PG Dug McDaniel to K-St. C Tarris Reed to UConn SF Youssef Khayat to Bowling Green PF Terrance Williams to ??? May has added: C Danny Wolf from Yale CG Rubin Jones PG Tre Donaldson from Auburn SG Roddy Gayle Jr. from Ohio St. SF Sam Walters from Alabama What fascinates me is that he hasn't gone after Vlad or Davis from FAU and took Rubin over them. From the looks of things, not much research done here, he is looking at Rubin as a sixth man type off the bench. Maybe Davis expressed he wasn't willing to play that role, but I really thought he would bring he and "The Flopper" along. (Vlad is projected to Michigan)
  9. Why would Duke not be included in the Big Ten move should UNC and VA head that direction?
  10. Javion was my pick as well followed closely by Mitchel, just to see what he could accomplish under a good coach.
  11. Saw that we also offered a DE from Montana. Can’t find the tweet now.
  12. You could bring back one player, any player from our recent past, for one more run, who would you select and why?
  13. Well done. This team's missing piece is a player that can go low like Tan did the last couple of years. Will be fun to follow them.
  14. As noted in the quote you selected, one is an AAC Starter and the other was a starter on a NCAA Tourney team.
  15. Who beat us by one. True, Pitino, NYC and MSG are attractive, and they have history on their side, but is this currently really that big of a jump? I wish him well, but it is far from what I expected. Then again, St. John's has landed some solid transfers.
  16. Sorry, but this is not the move up I thought he would get.
  17. That sucks. Was looking forward to a mid-week North Texas fix with what is becoming one of my favorite teams from our university.
  18. Noticed smu has lost 8 players to the portal. I would be interested in Zuric Phelps, Xavier Foster, Mo Njie and Jalen Smith. Of course, we would require a month of deprogramming and reeducation prior to allowing them to don the green and white.
