  1. I think you are supposed to call MBAs “douchebag” but Dr. Ruder seems much nicer.
  2. Looks like he was arrested in the summer and still played the season. University claims it just found out.
  3. I move to formally adopt the moniker “Dr. Ruder” for all references to the aforementioned player. Is there a second?
  4. In a way you have. Although we certainly didn’t have an individual Jamario performance, last year’s team had more rushing yards that the 2004 team. And an overall better y/a. Surprising right? https://meangreensports.com/sports/football/stats https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/schools/north-texas/2004.html
  5. Agreed. Not sure how FCS schools are beating us to offer local kids. A bit disappointing and probably due to staff vacancies.
  6. I certainly don’t know of any company doing CSR just to be magnanimous. Charity always comes with branding and PR for the company. Can’t blame him. At least he gives.
  7. Looks like he picked up a PennSt offer the same day. UTsa, Tulsa, Florida, Cincinnati, Boise, Houston also this week.
  8. I was a GH basher and mainly stand by that. Ironically, GH often got us off to good starts and then we lost leads when the O stalled in the second half. It seemed to me GH struggled to overcome the opponent’s defensive adjustments. The last two years we have had slow starts and often fallen behind early, sometimes making a comeback (but often not bc the offense wasn’t as good and the D was terrible). Seems Seth doesn’t have them ready but adjusts better.
  9. In the first one, does his penis have a leprechaun hat? I don’t get it...
  10. C+ for the offense is completely correct. Obviously F was the only possible grade for the D.
  11. So obviously a troll job since the damn logo so clearly is UNT. Probably a UH alumnus make the name card.
  12. I think you are missing a couple of things here. The seasons you reference were as a true freshman and RS freshman (which he gets to have again here). The positive way to look at it is that in his true freshman year, they had enough faith in him to bring him in an ACC game that they were trailing and he engineered two scoring drives before his injury. “Elliott was replaced in the second quarter by freshman Jace Ruder, who led North Carolina to a field goal and a touchdown on two drives before leaving with an injury. Elliott re-entered the game and finished with no touchdowns and three interceptions.” I think that is something to be optimistic about. I look at his high school numbers and scratch my head a bit as well. But we all know high school stats can be misleading. If high school stats drive rankings, Mason Fine would have been a 4-5 star recruit at Alabama or OU. Something - most likely his size, arm, and athleticism - earned him that rating and nine other P5 schools saw what they needed to see to offer.
  13. Not only ick for nepotism but also this is ick: Maddie was swiping in Phoenix, Matthew was "pre-swiping" in Las Cruces (but upgraded to TinderPlus to "place" himself in Phoenix) and they both Swiped Right. Sparks did not exactly fly after the first few conversations, but then Maddie spotted Matthew on the sidelines before his team (New Mexico State University) played her Dad and Brother's team (Arizona State University), and after a short but sweet, in-person, conversation..the rest was h i s t o r y !
  14. Yes I definitely don’t like they way they score recruiting classes. More doesn’t equal better. I also tend to pay attention to average rating and we have been around 2nd in the conference for the last three years.
  15. Plus, hs kids in the honors program can easily test out of most freshman requirements and start as a Sophomore academically.
