I think Brock Berglund is gone. I don't think McCarney likes Berglund. He will transfer to a D-AA school where he can play right away.

This would have never happened if we had hired Shaun Forrest. The team wanted him, he knew the system and had the momentum. Instead he is coaching at Western Kentucky and doing well. Shaun wanted this job in the worst way. We messed up.

We are the home team but ESPN wants us on the visiting sideline because they will be filming from the home side. We will likely be bringing a lot more fans than UNLV. It will make the stadium look more full as the visiting sideline will be in most of the shots.

We bought 7 from the UNT site. No problem.

With two to three inches of ice on the field, there is no way it was going to melt before the game at 3pm. I'm sure we have buckets of the rubber pellets to replace the ones that may be scooped up with ice removal.

Cotton Bowl usually sells Beer at the events. There were Beer sales at the Heart of Dallas Classic earlier in the year. I expect the same for our game.

I think DMAC is the polar opposite of DD. He is media friendly, a great ambassador for the univerisity and has the support of the AD. DD, not so much.

I'm happy with the opponent. We have a great shot at dominating in this game. We will be the only DFW team playing and looking good doing it. I'd rather win the HOD in convincing fashion than get blown out by Michigan or some other traditional power. If that happened then the local coverage would be about how we didn't belong there and the HOD committee should have picked someone else. I think our current matchup sets up well for us.

After the UTSA game, I think they couold use some cold weather practice. The cold really seemed to hurt the offense.

Liberty Bowl would be a great honor. It's an older bowl with history. Memphis is an easy drive from here so attendance should be solid. Heart of Dallas is a great second choice, but most people have never heard of the Heart of Dallas Bowl.

We worked hard to get the word out and find enough fans to get 15,000 at each game.

I can't watch anymore. If we didn't have the talent, I could stick around. Knowing what we have and seeing what we are doing with it is just embarrassing.

Coach Benford does not have the heart and soul of this team like Coach Jones did. I have spoke with several of the players and they still wish Coach Forrest had been hired. He was like a father to these guys. Benford doesn't have that relationship with the team. Jones brought in guys who had troubled pasts or had no father figures. The Old coaching staff filled that void for these guys. Until Benford understands what makes these guys tick, he won't be able to motivate them or bring them together. Rick V hired the wrong guy if he wanted to capitalize on the talent that was already here.

I've been to every home game since 1990. Not sure how many that is. I've seen a lot of bad football in those years. A few bright spots along the way. Hoping for a great year again this year.
