Saw the quick blurp in the first few minutes of the show. What a waste of time. What would be the point of even bringing it up, other than to trash NT. LSU is not in the "Southwest".

I missed this - was it just a generic "we are going to get smoked piece" or did they have John Radigan and Rick Renner just wear clown suits and ride around on unicycles like they usually do throughout the report?

If what I saw was the actual "report" They just said something about the total point differential between the two teams. Then said a quick blurp about how the game got moved due to Katrina, and that was it.

It will take me awhile not to despise them after watching *ric renner in 2001 doing a piece (of crap) on how we were excited about going to the NOB. Problem with the report is that he went up to campus over THANKSGIVING break. He and his camera crew set up at the North Texas sign by Bruce Hall. renner said something to the effect of, "You would think NT fans would be excited to be going to a bowl game. Well, where are they?" The camera then panned out to show an empty campus. The implied effect was that we were all apethetic and weren't out celebrating. BTW, it was broad daylight when he did the report, not later in the evening. Oh, if that wasnt enough, he and his camera then went to FRY ST and found 5 of the biggest liberal arts/ apathetic types/ disinterested in life types and asked them if they were excited. All said no, and one even laughed and asked, "we have a football team"

Ever since then, Ive hoped someone would kick his ass, or at least scare the piss out of him like Jim Everett did to little rhome.
