I wonder how the "Skelly" family feels about getting bumped form the stadium in favor of "Chapman" ? I wonder how the "FOUTS" family would feel if we remodeled Fouts and changed the name to Plummeangreen or something similar ? GO MEANGREEN

I too missed the news of Roman's departure. I thought the "hair" thing should have been reserved for an opponent, not one of our own. I hope he will, in fact, be back. GO MEAN GREEN

I also like the "whataburger" stadium design. Not the size, but the looks. And another thing... Could the "reliefs" of the athletes above the entrances be incorporated into the design of the new stadium ? I know we'd all like to forget about Fouts, but I've always thought those carvings looked handsome. GO MEAN GREEN

I like NT Flyer's graphic too. Although I'm not sure why you would drop an anvil on a towel. But if you're going to drop an anvil, why not on a towel ? I also like "don't sit at the Pit." GO MEAN GREEN

I just got word (Wed 2:00p) of the death of Dr. Dwain Vance. Dwain was my botany professor and I'm sure many of you had his BIO 132 (?) class. He had been a frequent attendee at NT football and basketball games. As of this writing arrangements are pending.

I want to go the Abner Haynes induction into the Texas Sports HOF. It's going to be held March 11 in Waco. Individual tickets are $75. each. However, if we can get a table of 10, we can go for $60. per ticket. I am going, but I'd rather sit with some of my Mean Green friends and cheer when Abner Haynes' name is announced. Anybody interested ? Reply here or PM me. Joe

I read the OSU article that a fan couldn't buy just a OSU-OU ticket. I would think that an OU fan or some other fan could buy a ticket to the OSU game to be included in his OU season ticket package. Just like last season, I purchased a OU and SMU ticket with my season tickets. This move by OSU is to prevent people from cherry picking games. Not to prevent fans from other teams from following their teams on the road. I think it's a good idea. Buy Season Tickets GO MEAN GREEN

Very funny. And while it has nothing to do with their football playing ability, the LSU helmets need to be updated. Theirs looks like an old sticker found in the attic coupled with some stick on letters from the hardware store.

Nelson also coached at Nebraska. I bumped into him at the Hayden Fry era reception this season. I wonder if he'd be interested in coming to NT ?

Well, Fry wasn't the coach I was thinking of. You're right of course, but I was thinking of another former SMU coach.

Phil Bennett was mentioned earlier. I'm don't like the idea of hiring a former SMU coach. It just doesn't feel right. We've hired a former SMU coach before.

Well foolks, all we know so far is that Coach Dodge hired a guy that didn't work out, and that he can fire a person that doesn't measure up. Now, TD has to hire the right guy. I wonder if there is a bulletin board at the upcoming coach's meeting ? And don't you kinda get a warm feeling knowing that we have a Coach that is taking corrective action, and getting on with the race. While our friends down the road can't seem to even get started.
