  1. In the FAQ section, it does say that All Club Seat Holders or those that give a minimum of $1000 to the MGC will be eligible to park in Green Lot #1 (next to the Athletic Center) or Green Lot #3 (north end of the Mean Green Stadium). All parking spaces in these two lots will be numbered and allocated in MGC Priority Point Order.
  2. In the mailbox today was an eight page New Mean Green Stadium Seat Selection Process. It is very thorough and fully explains the process. There is also a Frequently Asked Questions Section. The important dates are as follows: April 1 - Mean Green Club Priority Points are frozen and seat selection order is determined by MGC Staff based on your Priority Points. April 18 - Seat Selection appointment times sent by mail to Suite/Club Seat holders, Mean Green Club donors and season ticket holders who are not Mean Green Club donors. May 5 - Suite Holder Selection begins. May 9 - Club Seat Holder Selection begins. May 23 - Mean Green Club Donor Seat Selections begins. June 21 - Season Ticket Holder/Non Mean Green Club Donor Selection begins. To get a better seat location in the the new stadium join or renew your membership in the Mean Green Club by March 31st. If you need a MGC membership/renewal brochure emailed to you please message me your name and email address.
  3. Very tough loss to take.....The moving screen and the push off in the last minute hard to accept.
  4. Back in 1979 when Hayden Fry arrived at Iowa he made a number of changes including the helmet decal....31 years later that same Tiger Hawk decal is still on the Hawkeye helmets. I hope McCarney has similar success with the team and the decal.
  5. I received notification that the Athletic Department will freeze everyone's priority points on 4/1/11. Joining or renewing your membership in the Mean Green Club now will ensure receiving maximum Mean Green Priority Points for when the time comes to pick out your season ticket location in our new stadium. As a MGC Volunteer Rep, please send me a message if you would like information on joining, renewing or have any other questions.
  6. The article was indeed nothing new to the small minority of us in the Metroplex that follow UNT football everyday. However, this story was great publicity for UNT to a majority of DMN readers who do not follow the Mean Green. It was a pleasant surprise to get the paper in this morning and see Coach Mac's name at the top of page one of the sports section.
  7. Green 59 6'2" 225 lbs 51 years old XL tee shirt Played in high school and college intramurals. Good shot blocking, rebounding and inside scoring skills. I am sure those attributes have diminished considerably over the years! Thanks KRAM1 for setting this up!
  8. I totally agree. New stadium, very experienced new coaching staff, Canales retained for continuation of the improved offense and the momentum from the way we played in the last five games of the season should make everyone optimistic now.
  9. Hunter Lee put up some pretty good numbers rushing and receiving for a few years in one of the toughest districts (Plano schools, Allen and Hebron) in the state. Seems like he could be a pretty good passing down back and worth a shot if there is a 'ship available.
  10. My phone shows it to be 1 degree right now in Champaign, IL....When he steps outside the airport he is really going to know he is not in Texas!
  11. Probably the only thing I see to change would be to add a 2nd running back instead of a TE....We probably have at least four TE's on the roster. Right now at RB the only scholarship players on the roster I believe are seniors to be Lance Dunbar and James Hamilton (coming off a major foot injury) and sophomore to be Brandin Byrd. A couple of injuries next fall and we might be really thin at RB.
  12. I totally agree with you. If anyone is interested in showing your further support by joining the Mean Green Club please message me as I am one of the new Volunteer Rep's for the club.
  13. Count me in again as I really look forward to this event each year.
  14. For the first time in a few years we do not need to address the place kicker position thanks to Zach Olen. For that matter we should be okay at Punter, Back up Punter/Kicker, Long Snappers, Holder and Kick Off Returner...Not sure about Punt Returner.
  15. Upcoming weather for Champaign, Illinois.... Thursday: High of 24 and low of minus 2 with snow Friday: High of 11 and low of 11 Saturday: High of 21 and low of 12 Sunday: High of 16 and low of 7 Pretty cold for someone from Katy, TX! His rivals page shows offers from Illinois, McNeese State and UNT.
  16. Depending on the date, count me in as a Power Forward with no spring left in my legs.....
  17. Yes you are correct that he did not play good at Army but remember he did not practice much at all at QB in the Spring or August and did not start taking snaps on a more regular basis in Canales' offense until the Tuesday after the Rice game. Therefore he only had three practice days to get ready to be a backup QB against Army. After Thompson was knocked out, seemingly a majority of the team did not play good and not just Riley. You think it was Canales' scheme, Hamilton and Dunbar that won the FAU game and not RD.....You are also correct about the Canales scheme and Hamilton. Here are Riley's numbers from the FAU game... 10 for 15 passing (67%), 146 yards, two TD's (23 and 46 yards), 1 Int, zero sacks and plenty of key 3rd completions for First Downs. 11 rushes for 67 yards (6.1 avg) including several key 3rd down rushes for First Downs. Lance on the over hand actually had one of his rare less productive performances with 29 rushes for 72 yards (2.5 avg). You must have seen or listened on the radio or read on the internet a different game than the few UNT fans present with me at crappy Lockhart Stadium saw. My wife and other fans around us certainly commented how great of a game that Riley played in leading the team to victory. Other than the WKY game in 2009, I consider the 2010 FAU game to be Riley's best performance in leading the team.
  18. No problem and welcome to the GMG Board....I agree that the O Line will once again be deep.
  19. I went to all the games last season......When JJ went down with his foot injury in the second quarter of the Clemson game, Nick played the rest of the game. Nick then played the entire Rice game. He suffered his knee injury in the second quarter of the Army game.
  20. It certainly looks like it. Andrew's father, Jim, played football for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 1973-1976. Coach Mac played for them from 1972-1974.
  21. It is not surprising to see that you have a reputation of minus 222......
  22. It should be Leppo if he is fully recovered. If not then it will be either Fortenberry or Y'Barbo.
  23. +1...I too am a donor and attend functions but it certainly does not give me any right to voice my opinion that way. For DG to publicly call Riley a "spoiled brat" is very out of line and not accurate. I have talked to Riley a number of times and I found him to be polite, well mannered and certainly not a "spoiled brat".
  24. It is unfortunate that Riley's career at UNT has ended. He played with a lot of passion to the best of his ability. I attended every game this year and he looked sharp as the starting QB. He did a very good job in leading this team. To be called a quitter by some is not fair. This classy young man had more adversity in 2010 than most of us face with the death of a close friend / teammate, multiple injuries and the firing of his father. Maybe a change in scenery is what is best for him. To me Riley Dodge is a winner and will be a success in the game of life.
  25. The Big 10 splits all conference bowl revenue evenly between the 11 schools.
