  1. John Lott, strength and conditioning coach for the Arizona Cardinals Info
  2. Hats off to the Pistons for giving Tony every opportunity to improve his skills. Maybe he will get some good minutes when they play the Mavs at the AAC in a couple of weeks.
  3. I am blame it on people here in Denton for not attending games.
  4. We need for our own alumni in DFW to adopt North Texas as their team.....then we can worry about everybody else. Of course, everybody is welcome right now.
  5. Don't know if tower is lit green or not. But when I got back to Denton, I was thinking maybe something that can be seen from I-35 needs to be lit green after victories. Thought about the Murchison Performance Hall or the front of Apogee since both can be seen from highway.
  6. You may know this already, but look closely at what you get. Some shirts and hats had "January 1st, 2013" as the date and was being sold at the game. Due to the error, they did drop the price.
  7. Just wonder why Patrick Cobbs was not invited or anybody from our last bowl teams for that matter.
  8. Really? Rudy's asked us if we could park it their this year. As Soundman said, it has made more than a 10 mile trip with no problem and has even made a trip to Irving (on the tollways for that matter) with no problem and above the speed limit.
  9. Found this on OU's website, doubt it changes for the bowl game: Q. Where can I tailgate for the game? The State Fair of Texas does not have a specific parking area reserved for tailgating prior to the game. Tailgating will be allowed on official State Fair lots (not in valet parking areas). Parking on official State Fair lots are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parking is $15 per space. It is not possible to reserve adjacent spaces in advance or upon arrival. Open flames, tents and protective awnings are not allowed. Traffic flow and pedestrian traffic may not be impeded. Official State Fair lots open at 7 a.m.
  10. A train is run by the county as in Denton County Transit Authority. They are running in the red as it is anyway.
  11. Can't believe we would be in a bowl on the East coast. If we can't play in Dallas, then put us in New Orleans. We would bring in more fans there than Tulane.
  12. I wonder if some Dallas powers might not push for a team whose fans have to travel and book hotels, thus more money spent at restaraunts. Most of our fans won't stay overnight and many will tailgate. That said, I don't know what CuSA team that would be.
  13. @John Williams, Thank you for your support of this program. Have seen you, Lou, and gang at many games. FWIW, John may have the only Denton business that hangs a UNT Battle Flag out everyday.
  14. No doubt Mac has done a good job and the program is far better off than it has been in a long time. But I think it would be more prudent to wait until next year for an extension. Next year will be more of an indicator where this program is and the direction because all the players will have been recruited by Mac and his staff.
  15. Got to stay healthy. And we have got to get out of the gate faster at the beginning of games. By the way, it was fun watching Tech's fans leave early today.
  16. Seems to me he considers Barry Alvarez as his mentor, drops his name a lot.
  17. If Mac gets us to a bowl in this, his 3rd year, against a Big Ten opponent like Iowa, it would be a bigger turnaround/story than Iowa St. Still lots of football to play though, and we will need to stay healthy.
  18. Wow Soundman, that is waaaayyyyyyy cool! You are so hip!
  19. You can get them through the ticket office and pick them up Saturday. You can buy the same # of seats you already have.
  20. Yea, we need to play up our TX connection (not the UT type) more. And it needs to start on the coaching staff as we only have 1 coach with Texas (not the UT type) roots. It would make a difference with the high school coaches. Save the Dodge argument (not directed at you Stan), high school coaches were already pissed because he ran up the scores on teams that Southlake played. *Not exactly on topic, but seemed a good place to interject it.
  21. Maybe you could follow through with the eagle aviary that were gung ho about a while back, then we could have a birds of prey competition. You know release some snakes or something on the field and let the birds dive for them. Or we could turn the end zones into wildlife management areas, and sell a few tix for fans to hunt during the game..
  22. Sounds fair for the folks who got in on the ground floor ,since they will be paid up, for the prices to then come down at the end of five years. By the way, the stadium donation is not a recurring thing, just the first five years.
  23. Great crowd here tonight, big room is full. No groups from campus to pad it either
