  1. It is ludicrous to think this offense is going to open up next year because we have a different QB. That is what this staff said in 2011, last year, and right up to the season. If BB was the answer AND they wanted to open up the offense, he would be starting. Not saying Brock is not the answer, I have only seen a few plays of him in practice. As for Mac, his actions up to now show that he is not going to change his conservative ways. But with this predictable scheme, it does not make any difference who the quarterback is. Sure, we might see a few great plays, but over an entire season, no difference.
  2. I would trade the success we have had since 2006 for the success that LA Tech has had. It's a no brainer.
  3. At least we still have a team with 30+ players that have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Again, RV is not the one to blame about not having alcohol sales at Apogee, it is up to the TABC. Besides, if it does happen, TABC is not going to let it be sold at every concession booth like at the Superdome, American Airlines Center, and other venues. Fact, not fiction.
  5. Right, Byrd is no Adrain Peterson and cannot just turn it up field with a big burst of speed.
  6. Probably some off the wall stat from Bartelotta to weave a story about what moral victory we should take from this game.
  7. 7 rushing yards in last game. Not exactly a strong point in your offense
  8. Yea, blame it on somebody else, weather, dome take your pick. But if we are the team many think after the last 2 games, we are beating ourselves and have nobody else to blame!
  9. Exactly! Also, I am sure Derek would like a couple of do overs on some plays, but our predictable play calling puts him in bad positions
  10. Cool! By the way, does the professor rent or own? Somebody has got to know.
  11. They did not sell out to Barnes and Noble. It was sold to an out of state investment group and they going to keep it open for the time being, and yes, the selections have really improved. Denton Voertman's Checks Out to New Owner (5/23/2013) DENTON - Voertman’s bookstore and additional retail concepts on West Hickory St. and West Oak St. near the University of North Texas were sold to an out-of-state investment group on April 30, 2013. Nebraska Book Co. was the seller. The sale involved a number of adjacent retail, apartment and commercial buildings, which incorporate a total of 37,951 sf. Voertman’s itself occupies 29,900 sf. Roy Voertman opened the bookstore in 1925, and it was sold to Nebraska Book Co. in 1990.
  12. Just asking so don't read anything else into my questions. But how is this going to be accomplished without the athletic dept? I mean, don't you need at least the stadium announcer involed. ^Please save the manifestos, real questions, not opinion or yes/no either way.
  13. "They" don't care about the smaller schools and what happens to them, "They" don't care about traditions and rivalries within the conferences, all "They" cares about is the $$$$$. "They" will let the Big 5 break and "They" will go with them.
  14. True, but they don't need to read some of this stuff here and get caught up in the euphoria. We all need to worry about the next game and enjoy the ride and view. I want to also see something that has not happened since '04 and that is a 2 game winning streak. Anybody remember what happened last time we got caught up in overhyping something: #Ntfansgetdisappointedagain
  15. Depends will help when a certain other area starts to go. : )
  16. The Mac Show will be at 7:00 tonight at Rudy's per Mean Green Sports website.
  17. Sure wish A&M and Baylor were playing this year, would be a very high scoring game.
  18. In the past, tomorrow's show would be the night for them to take off. Didn't see anything on Mean Green Sports, so will have to wait for MGC Newsletter in the AM. Will post if not up.
  19. Looked at last year when I first posted, my bad!
  20. Yes, but we still have to beat Tulane. Then see if we can get that elusive 2 game winning streak against the MUTS. Lots of football left to play!

  22. Heart of Dallas is for the CUSA 4th place finisher. I hear the lights at Graceland are beautiful at Christmas. How about some barbecue and blues, Memphis Style, for the holidays? That's where the champion plays. ( 2nd bowl tie in is Hawaii, and 3rd place is the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth)
