Unless we find some people that can catch, I wouldn't be so bold to predict a blowout. You do have to score to blow someone out. I'd love to see Powers become the second coming of Andy Blount, but until Chancellor gets some help with catching the ball, it could be a long year for our offense.

When I saw the line on that game, I knew it was going to be bad... On Friday, the line was 75. I've never seen one that lopsided...

Yes, it was a beating on Thursday. Yes, it looks like we have a long year ahead of us. Yes, we will probably get the shaft in yes another round of conference shakeups. Sure, it would have been nice to get it all with a new stadium, coaching staff, wins, conference, etc... but there is plenty to be happy about as an NT fan right now. Most of my excitement of next weekend is that we will FINALLY not be in watching football in a stadium that was more embarrassing than if family showed up to your house unannounced only thirty minutes after the sewage system filled it up six foot deep! The grass is always greener... I'm just glad that the facilities are now vastly improved, bigger donations coming in, that it seems we have a renewed commitment to athletics, and I'm excited about the future. The coaching staff now looks to suit an actual D1 program and I am sure that they will do their job... It just takes time to identify game-day weaknesses (they actually are different than practices, you know), try to coach the players, make some judgement calls based on how effective the coaching decisions were... the whole gambit. Give them time, because I will. Do I want a win against Houston? Of coarse I do. But if it doesn't happen, I'll judge the staff on what they do about handling it during and after... By the way -- did anyone buy a copy of the EA Sports NCAAF game this year? Is our stadium in it? Did they *finally* include the NT fight song? Did they include the blood curdling Eagle CAAAAAAWW! sound and cannon fire when we score? These are all important questions.

New proposal: Keep TD as an offensive coordinator.

I've been out of touch recently and I would love to hear what our current 2-deep looks like. If anyone can post it, that'd really help watching the game tonight.

Thanks, Lady... I like the ring with the emerald in it more, but I don't want to have to keep sending it out for repairs. I'll probably give the emerald ring one more try, but if it breaks again... I'll do the swap. Maybe with Dodge at the helm I'll be able to refrain from punching things...

I think there are two? styles of the class ring. I got the one that has the emerald on top, but I have a problem with it getting cracked/broken all the time. The emerald sits on the top and is exposed to getting hit on things. Especially when DD was coaching! Does anyone else have that problem? Does anyone know if I could get the other style without the emerald? Thoughts?

I can tell you what I DO know about Etheridge -- he is BAD. Really, REALLY BAD. He came from ARMY -- the losingest team at the time. Since he has been at NT, I've seen the national rushing leaders struggle to put up minimal production. AXE HIM. He is #1 on my hit list.
