  1. To Todd's credit he knew he was in for troubles so he requested to keep 3ish defensive coaches around. The AD refused this request. So... with no mentoring he brought up those asst coaches from HS & then we played OU and... The responsibility for the era is the _________( you fill in the blank)
  2. Tulane played both ecu & us at home. I'd be supprised if they get the "breaks" they got at home on the road?
  3. Respecting a team like muts when we are picked to win by a touchdown? I guess we should respect tulane since we were picked to beat them until the game started.
  4. I called tulane's athletic dept to thank for their hospitality & ask them about selling booze in their new stadium. Not only are they for football, but they sell it at basketball & baseball games on every side of the stadium. I helps pay for security at the stadium. They have had no problems with selling alcohol at all their games because of their overall guidelines for everyone to follow. My thought is that rv will never prove capable enough to put any effort to get ALL these guidelines produced, so you all will not see any alcohol for the general ticket sales area. For all the other fans of NT that are downstairs, come on up I'll buy you a beer!
  5. Went to the stadium club at their dome. On the web site since they thought there would be problems w/ the weather you only needed to shhow a ticket to get into the stadium club. Good crowd. Friendly. Its a semi-circle like center w/ nothing as nice as we have in our club. They couldn't of followed the game there like in our club. Good band though. About 1/3 bigger than our stadium club. No food in the club-you had to go out into the stadium to find food. BY THE WAY- it was homecoming & parents day etc. They threw a lot of events this last weekend to boost the crowd he said. I was told by Jim Shaver (ie. ath dept rep- who walked up to me & asked how'd I get in there & where are the rest of you guys) that game should be their biggest turnout. He asked me to go to their web site to compare stadiums for him [ yulmanstadium.com ]. What do you think about their stadium. They served alcohol in the stadium. He told me it was a great idea especially since their teams were not very good in the last several years. Sounded familar doesn't it. No one, rv, has jumped off the top of the dome yet & they made money with it. Since we don't need money, I guess, is the only reason not to try it. http://yulmanstadium.com/stadium-amenities/yulman-stadium-amenities/
  6. I still think we are taking a risk of putting "Booooger" on the all century team due to his size- what will tea-sip's think? BEAT muts. or think this way- has Brandon K or Tony M done more for our school? Answer that...
  7. Amen bro Jesse, it was the ex's due to the exposure on TV & the ex's wanting to get together that did most (ie. if not all of these get togethers) of these watching parties. To the alumni assn. What are you doing to expidite this movement for the last 30 years or even this last weekend? SO KRAM what did the assn. do to foster the ex's getting together this last weekend- since you seem to want to have a say in everything. By the way Kram you left off the one with ex's in Wash st. Your loosing your grip dude just like the functioning of the alumni assn. Rob is trying to compile a compter listing for email's for the next event (ie. no listing did exist as of last week). To Rob, thanks for coming to our aid. By the way, several advancement personel called me about the school taking over the ex's at the function prior to the last game. I feel working with them all of us will see POA's and more direction for our ex's in Texas and other areas' with that happening. Now, answering this (ie.as you will) for us that would like to have functions with other ex's put you assn's POA ( plan of action- I figured you wouldn't know what this was) in the thread for the this year through 5 years. Along with, how are you going to do this! But, with you talk is cheap action is...
  8. Rob said about 3K are known so about 9+ thousand. Some are in great positions & monied down here. But- no NT yet. Disfunctional alumni assn. Thanks Rob for posting the info. He said that he would get together w/ adm & put togethter an email list for the next event ( I will be in NO though!).
  9. Probably won't affect DT's speed.
  10. It's funny you said the above. I just checked & it's the day "Central Texas celebrates Golden Margarita's". I'm trying to decide if it's frozen or on the rocks! I'd like to have something at the house- but it is a Thursday. Any comments? My house is just east of I10 & utsa is just west of I10. Sooo... about 10 minutes to the game! Now, back to beating the "dogs".
  11. It's Sideliners Grill. It opens at 11:00- see you there. Game starts at 11:20ish. There are things for kids to do electronic games & table games.
  12. How about the BIG 14 Conference! (let their heads explode)
  13. I need names to fill in the blanks. We have a choice of sports bars to meet at Saturday morning; COVER 3 ( new -real nice { tamu has it booked dinner time for their game} $$$$). Location off loop 1604 & Huebner 210-479-9700 Sideliners Grill ($$) nice to scream & cut up. Kids have table games & electronic games. Loc-15630 Henderson Pass 210-404-0121 I need to get them #'s as soon as possible
  14. Can someone put up a representation of this MG flag. White flag w/ green border with a flying worm in it? Like to see how it would look... just saying. THX
  15. We don't do anything to promote the football games in D/FW but in San Antonio businesses of all kinds mentioned as supporting utsa football & go to the next game. http://www.goutsa.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13100&ATCLID=209261161 You look at rv's marketing and what do you see? NOTHING in D/FW and in Denton... equals great crowds at our games.
  16. DT plays much better at home than on the road. Let's hope he's mentally on target this week. Keeping the TE's in the game will keep their LB's honest I hope. We can't wait until the second half for a running game. We can't spot them points the first qtr like all the games this year. I pray.
  17. Marriott Residence Inn , St. Joseph St. @ $99/night w/ breakfast! All suite hotel too!
  18. Hold everything- the team is staying at the airport- the party is at Burbon st. Advancement (ie. since they asked if many people would go to the game) will have a get-together down town area ( 30 minutes from the AP). Bourbon ST. is down town soooooo. Get a room in walking distance to to dome & you'll find the tailgate/ fun prior to the game & after wards...
  19. The game started w/ UNT kicking off to UT- on the first series their FB lost the ball ( ie. he was never down) & we recovered BUT the ref's took the ball & said he was down (35 Yard Line). There were several play's like that we got screwed. Even with the big cash twins (ie. big receivers that were the receivers on two of the questionable plays) out of San Antonio had the Monday sports guys showing QUESTIONABLE PLAYS on the sports Monday after the game- they said that the passes were incomplete on SA TV! They paid us to lose & the ref's were seeing that we did. So the passes were well after the fumble on their first series. The greenies' in the stands kinda' knew that it would be uggly after that... So beat the heck out of ball U!
