  1. Alamo Heights QB Giovanni Vizza was named "Built Ford Tough" high school football player of the year for division 1 this year.
  2. Can't find a QB to play for UNT. We have an offensive scheme that might be some of the problem, or the offensive offensive coordinator (who by the way is an ex-QB) doesn't recruite at all & has time to confront people in the stands rather than the defenses thrown up against his offense or even look around for a QB that has the skills to be successful in our system..... So that maybe .....................................
  3. Towe to NC State staff?posted: Friday, May 5, 2006 | Feedback Once again, New Orleans head coach Monte Towe is faced with another grueling decision. Should he leave as head coach of the Privateers and join Sidney Lowe's staff at their alma mater, NC State, or stay and continue to resurrect the UNO program in the post-Katrina mess? Lowe, an assistant with the Detroit Pistons, will be named as Herb Sendek's replacement at a Saturday news conference in Raleigh. Towe told ESPN.com Friday that Lowe has asked him to join the staff. He said there are contractual issues, such as a buyout, that are being discussed between NC State athletic director Lee Fowler and UNO athletic director Jim Miller. One option to avoid the financial burden of a buyout is to promise that the Wolfpack would play a road game or two at UNO. Towe has three years remaining on his deal
  4. GO SPURS GO.................................................
  5. Nick has been a class act, along with his parents. We knew he was a special player with skills that will be hard to replace. May God bless him on Sundays next Fall. We'll see you'al in Denton on Saturdays!
  6. 5X for lunch & a win! Go Mean Green Ladies we want a Christmas present from you. You can do it gals.
  7. We had a very intense game tonight. Good D with a strong second half offense.Out free-throws the first half put us in a bind, but the second half the guards couldn't miss. We got called on some good blocks tonight ( home team crap). They were frustrated at times & almost left the clock run out on them. Too bad we didn't block out #30-Jones. He got all the crap off the board. We hammered him where the sun doesn't shine. He's still limping!!! We have a team on our hands. Johnny is really involved from the sidelines. We have a bright future with this team. We were deeper than aTm. GMG
  8. Fireworks at football games............... My thought is our girls soccer team went to College Station for the NCAA tournment and our crowd was 10 times that of smu's....... our girls basketball team has some really fantastic freshman backing up some really good upper classman. They will win 20+ games. We have some things to ralley all of us around. This mens year has not been pretty, but there doesn't need to be a mass meltdown when we have good things going on at the school and in sports. Has anyone seen the new tennis center..........WOW! By the way RV is getting some big fish in line that you will be hearing about in the near future. God bless NT Denny Kalk GED '73
  9. Tina was vastly undersupported several years which means she was recruiting as a real underdog. The negitive drift above is unfortunate. She has taken her club to the NIT & I think the NCAA not to long ago. Most clubs can't say that about their girls team. She played a good NCAA tournment team into overtime to end the season last year. Sorry you al' missed the game!
  10. If someone from San Antonio wants a ride to the game call me & we'll hit the road together. Denny
  11. Follow it at FoxSports.Com. Then go to scores- SunBelt Conf + click on the game. Cool.
  12. I'm flying to Nashville & leaving from the team hotel Sat. afternoon. No Cost, unless the price of beer goes through the roof!
  13. I'm planning to get a 8 seat SUV for the trip from the Marriott in Nashville to Murfreesboro. Then tailgating till game time. Players parents welcome. GO MEAN GREEN
  14. Inside scoup on recruiting has NT looking at C Andray Blatche of Syracuse, N.Y., "who is a lean 6-8, was one of the most dynamic athletes on the summer circuit and plays above the rim. He has schools such as North Texas,Tulsa, Texas-San Antonio and Nabraska pursuing him."
  15. For all the dreaming about a NT baseball team....I learned something about college bb while in el paso this week. NMSU's bb annual budget is $360,000, with $95,000 of that for travel costs. The El paso times said that most CUSA member's play bb, the "new teams " in the league do not have a bb teams ( i.e. sorry ltech). I guess the article wants the miners to look again at bb. The aggies have 25 players who divide up the available 11.7 scholarships ( i.e. NCAA limit- how does the shorthorn's do it? ). So.....buy more football & basketball season tickets so we will make our own money for this club!!! GMG
  16. Your prayers are needed for a female track athlete. I have not found out her name yet but she was on a motorcycle with her boy friend & a car hit them. I would like someone please get their names & post, for those who will pray for both of them. The boy is presumed dead at this time.
  17. Some aggie friends & I were going but they changed to starting time on the start to 3 PM from 5. Their ticket office said that strong showers were predicted for the original game time & they wanted to play the game. GMG
  18. Wonder if Denver still have their 300+ cheerleader?
