Why is this on our football board?

What did we do against arkie st with DT? That's why we have a head coach- to make decisions like that (ie. whats best for the team & future). So we red shirt him & he gets no more playing experience, then what happens next year . What will we be hearing on this board? What do you think happened to DT confidence last week with 4 TO's.

Shouldn't this be a prediction thread on DT. If he's on or not? Just saying...8 or 9 tight ends will we use them?

Lot's of folks on this site have turned on the guy that they wanted to be HC here after TD left - Interesting, very interesting!

Army just runs the ball and couldn't against Ball st's line that is bigger than Ohio in the trenches. *We try to run the ball & lose when we can't. BSU stopped Army running game, will they rain on our home game? * We ran the ball against Idaho & passed well. What is the difference, teams, plays, players etc? What one of our best tight ends who came over to watch the game said is "where are the tight ends". TE Jeff Muenchow told us that with the 4-5 receivers on the outside & having trouble running we could of tried some of other sets that worked last week. With some of these 8 TE's {we have heard lot's about Loving with him being a star(?)} why we don't drag some of these over the middle on blitz's etc to open up the field (think Alabama vs lsu championship game). Or they block really well guys too! So seeing 4 qtr's of low production on the O side, can using another resource -TEs- help on Saturday's before we end up losing our collective minds on this board? Only time and the football consultant's on this board will tell!

DT could probably QB for the austin shorthorns after last night. We've never looked that bad against the run even with our d-down linemen.

It's televised if you TV is net compliant! (In HD no doubt!) Go Mean Green & utsa beat the "boys" I don't know why anyone associated with the Mean Green would not want our fellow Tex schools to do good. Do you see the guys leaving the state in Feb to play good FB in another state?

I know Danish & some ex-Letterman I'm going to contact, but who else out there waants to get together in a group to watch the game Saturday night? In a Club or at my Casa w/ beer & drinks?

Dodge wanted to keep some of dd's coaches & rv told him to get rid of all of them. This was from coach Russell. Dodge had no help hiring coaches nor mentoring them from coach rv after he hired him. So, the conversation should include rv here, especially if you are telling us if td was good or bad. It's hard to believe there are people on this board falting the football coaches & basketball coaches w/o talking about the person responsible for the problems developing (then praising rv in their next post). It was obvious dodge didn't know what he was doing but rv & let him do all the things he did, right ( ie. for all the rv supporters). Therefore, td did exactly what rv let him do- understand! By the way, the 8 years of loses were brought to you under rv's direction or can you spin that around? Looking what we have today in football- Dan was found by a professional search team brought in by Lane. So, give Lane praise/ distain for those results.

I didn't join in the W-L competition,l but I would like to say something about any fan that has seen most of our men's games under the last two coaches. If you were saying its great ball how come a really large number of people tailgating OUTSIDE OF THE STADIUM won't even come into the stadium to see the game? Should not some of you "get those tailgaters into the stadium" rather than throwing rocks at the people that are supporting football inside the stadium. Just saying...

What has rv planned on this front?

Where is the team staying?

Doesn't the AD set the tone for the school's regional/national interest, participation and pride of the alumni? After 2 buyouts & what is being said here about the men's coaching, do you even need to have another hire from our ad office. In fact, talk routinly comes up about his office based personnel that he hires. What was said was that" the good ones tend to leave". I'm not thinking that helps our fan base much generally speaking.

rv, with as great coach choices as he makes, should come over here and pick his next coach!

Jeremy was at our camp in San Antonio & he was all of 6'6" with good foot action on the different set ups Chico made them run. He was pretty slim but had good speed going through the drills. He looked to throw a long ball that was catchable by several different receivers. The qb from cedar park was here too (he looked 6'5" or so). Chico said that he was interested in three of the qb's at the clinic here. 20+ were in his group of qbs. They expected 60 to 80 but had about 180 players at the event. The coaches were real impressed with the turnout. The coaches had the guys loud & running at full speed or they made them re-do the drills. Since it was our first clinic there, they said that probably will have 200+ next year (better than the Dallas turnout). Several flew in from El Paso & valley area. Dan had them stand up at the introduction of the coaches at the start of the clinic. Real Big O/D lineman but no keepers at least in the D liners. Steel HS defense line was in Mike's group & looked the most athletic. Several tall receivers but I didn't watch that group. Some made good long ball catches though when they paired them with the qbs at the end of the camp.

Not no but hell no- plum what are you expecting after 14 years from the ad's dept?
