Looking at the records of the aquads in our half of the conference...it's not out of the realm of possibility that we can turn the season around.

At this point if we equal last season's win total I'd be happy.

If we can get a split, we might be just fine. The squad is young...and can't shoot it appears, but I don't think they're that far from competing. Especially since we're in league play now.

Maybe we'll compete in conference, but things look grim.

If enough people know about it...I can see that as a possibility. However I kinda doubt they'll have that many fans in Denton.

The women got LSU on tap...the men have Auburn. Man, I don't see winning either game as very likely.

Not a good night for NT basketball....

Baylor should probably win, however I can see us sneaking away with a 'W'. I really don't feel we've played to our potential so far this season.

I was thinking maybe an NIT invite at the beginning of the year. It's still early...if things go well in conference, who knows?

Back from Christmas break.

The Buffalo's really dominated us from about the 17 minute mark in the second half. Even though the margin wasn't HUGE(87-71), we were out of the game for most of the latter stages. We could really never make a run at them, they were just too physical(even though we held our own on the boards). They also shot fairly well from the floor.

Merry Christmas to all the board. I'll be away for about the next week visiting family.

I wasn't aware that T. Tech was quite that good at home. Still, that was a stinging loss, I really thought we'd win.

Wow, this game is more winnable than I originally thought. We HAVE to win this game if we wanna be above .500 heading into the holidays.

I'm a bit concerned, but I think 20 wins is still possible. Colorado tommorrow is gonna be a TOUGH game.

Really..any self respecting coach should not accept the job. Jones is too overbearing of an owner for any "real" coach to deal with. Parcells will not take that job unless Jerry backs off.

Man this loss really hurts! I was out doing some X-mas type stuff and didn't listen. How'd the game go...what happened?

Wow, HUGE jump! I didn't realize the difference would be that great from last year to this year.

Well, once some of those schools get in their conference races...the SOS will go down forcing their Sagarin score to lower. It is cool though.

Well, they're rebuilding(despite of what Coach Slinker said) but we'll be really good by seasons end I think.

Most likely I will yes. Unless I'm doing last minute Christmas shopping.

Yeah, I love SC too. All the teams of anchors have fun when they report the scores. One of favorite bits recently was when he Anaheim Mighty Ducks played Pittsburgh. One of the Ducks said they couldn't take any stupid penalties to prevent Super Mario from beating them. They proceeded to show Ducks taking lots of penalties and the Penguins scoring on the pwer play. Everytime they had a Penguin powerplay highlight they had that interview playing in a box in the corner of the screen. It was good stuff.

If we beat Tennessee Tech we'll have some big momentum for our game next Monday versus Colorado. So far our out of conference record is respectable given our competition, but 2 losses right before Christmas will hurt us before we start the league race.
