I can see you follow the NCAA basketball tourney. In 1997, TN-Chattanooga Sweet Sixteen as a 14 seed. I believe that's the lowest seed to ever make the Regional Semi's.

Sounds promising. I'm thinking about going to the Arizona State game this year. So I hope we're competitive.

Filled mine out yesterday.

I have some odds and ends. Probably my most prized possessions are my various Yucca's. I have about 10 randomn ones - the oldest being 1918. The 1926 edition has the original version of the alma mater(we only sing the chorus now) - along with signatures and comments from both the composer and the lyracist.

Prolly the single most depressing loss I've seen in person. We HAD that game. I felt like puking on the midfield eagle afterwards.

Here's food for thought. If the Bruins beat USC do they leap frog everybody? An undefeated squad that knocks off #1 would be hard to leave out of the big game.

I'm not saying the Pac 10 is better than the Bix XII, just that by and large the power conferences are equal. 'Tis true, TX Tech beat Cal last year in the Holiday Bowl. The year before that Washington State beat the Horns in that same game if you recall. Both were upsets. Stuff like that happens every year.

Yeah dude - you also said OU would destroy USC in the Orange Bowl. How'd that work out? Your bias against the PAC-10 is obvious. The Pac-10 routinely beats the Big 10 in the Rose Bowl, whether it's USC or another rep. Just because most of the games aren't shown in the east and central time zones doesn't mean they can't play out here. Oh and no way does the top 3 teams in every other conference beat UCLA. That's ridiculous.

I'll be back in the DFW area for the next week(planned the trip for Homecooming back in the summer, when the 29th was HC). Obviously I may not be posting much, but I hope to run into some of my old buddies when I'm back. It'll be nice to be home.

The White Sox get a blown call to go their way and pick up a huge victory to tie the ALCS. Of course I thought a call earlier went against Chicago at 2nd base where the runner(I believe Crede) was back but was called out.

I've thought for several years now that our basketball team was the ticket to national exposure - if we sunk our enthusiasm/support into it. It's must faster to build a basketball power than a football one AND being in TX(where FB is king at most schools) it could set us apart from the other state institutions. Really only UT and UTEP have any real basketball tradition.

I still like the Rocket. Childhood heros are hard to dismiss, even when they become the enemy. As a kid he and Boggs were my boys, and I'll always have warm thoughts for them. Even if both ended up winning titles as Yankees.

Boston like won, one title and everyone's sick of 'm. Oh well, they're still my boys. I'm pulling for Chicago to win it all(that way I can say we lost to the Champions). However I like the Cardinals to get the hardware.

USC/UCLA is gonna be epic. The Bruins are damn good this season.
