  1. Great stuff. Only thing I'll say is that he better start caring about defense before it becomes his downfall. You can have all the personality and potential in the world but if we continue on this track of not winning anything from championships to bowl games, questions need to be asked. Not caring about defense is what it is when you are winning but when you lose every meaningful game by giving up 50 or 60 points, that isn't going to fly.
  2. If you watch Miles to Go on ESPN+, the guy knows his stuff and it is evident. Amazing just the first year transformation he has made at KU, even in things such as the number of staff in the recruiting department to allotting resources to the areas of greatest need only a seasoned coach who has been there would know. That being said, I think he is in a good situation. The pieces are already there (explosive offensive weapons) and a couple of game changing plays and this team is middle of the pack, Big 12 in just his first season. That being said, everyone said KU was a dead end job yet he still took it. A lot of people say that about Arkansas but it is back in the SEC for him and pay might be a bit more substantial so who knows? I doubt he leaves after his first season, though. He's in a good spot.
  3. Yup, UTEP in 2016 to get us bowl eligible was supposed to be a gimme. Old Dominion last year was supposed to be a gimme. Charlotte this year was supposed to be a gimme. There are no gimmes with this team. We have not had the consistent success at a high level to say anyone is a gimme.
  4. I equate this to basketball last season when people tried to clamor for us to get into whatever second rate tournament would invite us. Thank you Mason and seniors for everything you have done for this program, sorry circumstances couldn't have worked out better. This team does not deserve to go bowling. We have gotten curb stomped by every worthy opponent this season and would likely get run down for 50 or 60 points; no matter who our bowl opponent is, and would just serve to embarrass us on the national stage. Put a period on this season and start re-tooling for next season.
  5. Excellent point, sir. How can you be the highest paid coach in a conference with no conference championships, no Bowl wins; hell, no real notable upsets? (Other than down SMU and Arkansas teams) I'm not wanting to pull the plug on Littrell yet, but goddamn, those burners have to be turned up next year
  6. Yup. And I swear, if changes aren't made after this season, I will not watch or attend a single game next season because it will be the same old, same old. I get my hopes up every season, just for them to continually shit the bed, especially in big games. This staff has everything they need and then some to be successful, but we have gotten curb stomped by every worthy conference opponent this season. That is unacceptable, especially in Year 4 of a coach and his staff
  7. Because people on this forum love to give down votes when they don't see something they don't like. Even if the truth is harsh or hurts
  8. I don't know about y'all, but I enjoyed a nice movie during this shit show. Why the hell would I put up with this garbage the rest of the season? See y'all for basketball season. At least they look competant
  9. Salvage your weekend and do something else. There is no way our defense stops that offense. Just move on to basketball season already
  10. Tougher OOC schedule will benefit us from an experience perspective and when it comes to the postseason as we saw with Marshall, ODU, and WKU last year
  11. No shame in that performance. That is a ranked team that we took to the wire. Only gripe is this team really needs better shot selection but that will come with chemistry and playing time. Very excited for this season
  12. We need to quit turning the ball over and trying to force low percentage shots
  13. Started fast and strong then the wheels came off. I will say I'm excited for what this team can do as they continue to build up chemistry. We're still in this against a really good team
  14. Good test nice and early in the season. Slightly worried about our offensive struggles last game but this team definitely has the fire power to compete. Cautiously optimistic about the outcome.
  15. My Bachelors Degree says North Texas. My Masters Degree says the University I studied at in the UK. I represent both equally. I wouldn't have gotten the opportunity at a Masters abroad if not for North Texas. You don't have to rep one while shunning the other. You put in the same amount of work, effort, and sleepless study nights at both. As others said, it is more beneficial in the real world to get your Masters from another Graduate School than from your undergrad. His undergrad degree says North Texas, he currently studies at and plays for Gonzaga. Rep both schools. He earned that right.
  16. I live in Kansas, am engaged to a KU grad, visit Lawrence multiple times a year, watch every KU football and basketball game, and go to at least 1 or 2 football and basketball games a year. We support each other's schools equally as she watches an equal number of North Texas games with me. I use Kansas as my point of reference in relation to UNT as that is what I know best since I follow it so closely. UNT game wasn't on TV so is there any question why I would watch No. 3 Kansas play No. 4 Duke in what could eventually be a rematch of the Final Four or National Championship game?
  17. No rebuttal needed. I mentioned my post in conjunction with a post about the UNT game, literally inquiring about what is going on since I can't watch. He mentions posts about things no one gives a shit about so I counter with the numerous times he shit posts politics into unrelated threads to show that he has no room to talk and is the king of posting about things no one gives a shit about. And when his post number is above his rep, that's low. Tell me again how it's not a good reflection on me with everything fully elaborated and explained? I think I did a pretty damn good job of elaborating an stating my case
  18. *Mentions things about stuff that no one gives a shit about* Says the guy that brings politics into every thread; including sports, with horrible takes. Sit down clown. There's a reason why your post to rep ratio is so low
  19. https://www.krem.com/article/sports/gonzaga/almost-like-a-dream-ryan-woolridge-talks-to-commitment-to-gonzaga/293-4132815f-a51b-4aef-ae68-39ea2b00acf0 Is this what you are talking about? Because it sounds to me more like he is clowning other schools like Oklahoma State than UNT. To me, it sounds like Gonzaga is just an extension of what he got here at UNT, which isn't a criticism. Also, he is right, Gonzaga does offer him opportunities that UNT will not such as competing for a National Championship as they are always in the hunt, year after year.
  20. LOL at all of you clowns down-voting me for watching the KU game.
  21. We always play each other tough, up year or down year. That being said, I don't think we can slow their momentum
  22. Actually stopped in Edmond this weekend on my way back home from Homecoming to eat at the last Whataburger en route as a last hoorah. Oklahoma Christian is a small but pretty campus. Not much to do there but they are right outside of Norman and OKC which I'm sure has more to do than Edmond.
  23. Finished as the top scorer. Solid for a guy off the bench
