  1. Does it bother you that yarmulke is spelled incorrectly?
  2. They found a healthy team that doesn't have to battle having players with the flu. Otherwise, business as usual.
  3. Yeah a garbage UTSA JV squad that he could exploit with momentum. You talking about this arena? Because after the renovations, this thing looks sick, despite it's audience layout and size. When guys are hitting shots like nobody's business, you feed them the rock. You don't need to wonder where Kai, Rubin, and Aaron's shots/points are because they're letting Abou do the work that's getting them the scores. They'll be there when we need them.
  4. So ready for this game to put UTSA back in its place. Fine, they're better than us at football, but I'll be damned if I stand for even a close game against them. UNT 68 | UTSA 47
  5. Well son of a bitch, you figured it out. I can't believe none of the other coaches we've had couldn't crack that code and go for it! It's so simple! #NewDenton
  6. Maybe it changed, but in my day, the fraternities and sororities were the ones holding down tailgating and getting to the stadium when it mattered. Theta Chi member Jeff Kline was the university student president in 2010 pushing everyone hard for the vote on the stadium fee to get the damn thing built. only 13% of the student body voted in that vote and they won with a 18-point margin, in large part because greek life turned out for that vote. I wouldn't go blaming Greek life, my friend.
  7. By all of your standards, we should've fired Grant McCasland before the 2021 NCAA Tournament. SMDH.
  8. This is the reason you're a cynical delusional idiot who needs to step away for a while. Championship history: Miss me with this bullshit.
  9. As we all ponder the diligence and providence practiced through this hiring process, let's all make sure to give Morris a warm welcome where we know he'll see it--his Twitter feed. Fan support is a huge driver of loyalty and that's the best way we can show him. Takes 1 minutes. Go do it.
  10. Here's hoping he proves something to us in his press conference. This came so far out of left field that we want to think it makes no sense, but if I'm honest, I think I have too much faith in Smatresk and Mosley to not hire the right guy here. That is, unless Fuente and Riley turned us down...
  11. With a story cameo by our departing coach: "But he was like, 'Oh, this is going to be amazing. This is going to be hilarious. This is going to be epic.'" As Leach carried on, Littrell and Smith grew just as excited. "I thought it was pretty clever, to be honest," Littrell said. Leach then handed the script to Smith and ordered him to execute the plant, which he did to perfection. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/24866357/the-untold-1999-texas-oklahoma-story-mike-leach-fake-play-script?platform=amp
  12. Feels like it's been unnecessarily brutal lately, right? Can't say I'm surprised, although I'm not disappointed. Keeler was already 63 and while I'd love to have a coach with his record, I'd rather a coach with roughly his record, but who could potentially be here for 15-20 years if we can keep him.
  13. Damn I'm going to miss him. He was one of the genuinely joyful people in this game.
  14. Definitely not. No acceptance of the offer, so can't say he relied upon it. Also, let's say they revoked after he verbally committed: likely the only allowed methods of acceptance is written, so he loses on that try as well.
  15. Guys, we need to be more proud of what we've built as part of CUSA. We should hold our heads high with integrity and show ourselves as a school that's looking to get the absolute Hell out of dodge ASAP before shit hits the fan proud of the conference we're in while we're still in it.
  16. These are licenses that the school has been allowed to use for promotional purposes to the extent it displays or promotes athletic materials in the 2023+ seasons for its sports and the move itself.
  17. As an attorney, if this kid comes to me and asks whether they can do that, my first question is "did you sign with them?" 18-year-old just got a hard lesson in commitment, contracts, and consequences.
  18. I tend to agree, but I think at the end of the day, if you put a good football mind in the position, the wins, the funding, the following and the overall support follows. He's not a program builder, I'll give you that, but building a program starts with wins.
  19. We need to come back to Chryst. The guy is relatively young, has had significant success at P5 (over 6.5 seasons, so obviously he can recruit) and, probably most importantly for our purposes WINS BOWL GAMES (7-2)
  20. GCU's fanbase is nuts. They sold out every game last season in their 7,000 seat arena, and hosted Louisville in 2015 whose coach, Rick Pitino said, "This, in college basketball, in my 40-plus years, was the toughest crowd I've ever faced," Pitino said afterward, a message the school has now incorporated into its pregame video montage. "Whether we go to Duke, Kentucky...nothing was as tough as that environment tonight."
