  1. Ryan Vargo is a Theta Chi brother of mine. He joined Fall 2010. Great guy.
  2. No joke, this is a really even matchup, and being on the road is always hard. This will be a tough game.
  3. Karen Aston came close before Mike Peterson came to town. She at least brought us out of the Shanice Stephens disaster to a 15-16 year.
  4. I think you have to assume their defensive rating will drop after losing the stars, but they'll still have a really good defense to play against. I'll be at this game (Mom went to UofH), but it'll be a hard fought, close one.
  5. Call me Old Denton, or whatever, but you may be putting 2 horses in front of the cart this time. I mean to say, Ejiya would be nice, but it's far from a safe assumption that he gets drafted.
  6. In what world would Dino want that after just signing a massive extension with Cuse? Not true, won't be true. Absolutely not. Baylor is literally a fiery pit of ever-popping shirt buttons, hands that fall asleep for no reason, warm, flat beer, and spiders in your shoes.
  7. Absolutely won't happen. Cuse is private, so they don't disclose contract details, but they just extended Babers' contact for a boat load of money at the end of this season. Their last coach left only because the Buffalo Bills hired him. Also for reference, Syracuse may the only school in the nation that plays D1 football which has a similar cost of tuition, demographic, etc.
  8. I honestly think it would take a big-name perennial BBall power like UCLA (although not recently), Louisville, Syracuse, Kentucky, Gonzaga, etc.
  9. Screw them. Syracuse is also much better than a Last Four In team.
  10. The biggest concern that we should all have. I think McCasland loves UNT and being here with these guys. I can't imagine him taking another job for at least another 2 seasons, but I've been wrong before.
  11. Oops. I voted but live in Austin.
  12. Don't forget we also beat Hawai'i in their kingdom. Admittedly, this isn't the strongest argument, but they're still 9-5 and #1 in the Big West.
  13. If they win, they've got a better squad, but if they lose (let's say by double digits), are they still "better" than us?
  14. UTSA's looks like a rec center that they stuck some folding chairs in
  15. The perils of operating in a state where a majority of the legislature went to either of those schools. Also the reason it took so damn long to get a new football stadium. Think U of Alabama at Tuscaloosa vs. UAB.
  16. Yep. I forgot about that little tidbit.
  17. I wonder what the worst snub of an at-large bid has usually been. For example, if UNT finishes 28-3 (losing to WKU and ODU in the regular season, but winning the tournament), would the selection committee still snub them of an at-large, even at a 14/15/16-seed?
  18. And yet again, San Francisco is an 11 seed. *SIGH*
  19. Both teams have great shooters right now, but it probably comes down to defense, and efficiency. Men take a lot more 3s than women, which gives the opportunity for men to miss more shots. WBB plays a more inside game with more focus on getting to the lane and hitting the easy layup. Also, the women were obviously not playing the La Tech MBB defense.
  20. Really sucks for anyone that bet on UNT to cover the spread!
