We , UNT, have now totally wasted another five years. After the coaching change is made this year we'll have to sit back and wait through yet another rebuild. What a shame .

Very good analysis by Maduro above, helps a footballer like me see the game within the game better. This year's team again seems to have talent but it isn't being brought to a competitive fever pitch - no athletic killer instinct. I know that Bobby Knight was way over the top, but it seems like we desperately need some of that powerball, no nonsense leadership. I love UNT and the kids that play ball, they need help.

Renewed my two season fball tickets and donations yesterday, was going to call it quits after so many years of failed leadership but my old high school coach Cotton Miles hammered it in that you never quit your team - we're in !

Hank will do a good job facilitating the AD change for NT, that's how businesses change at the top. He is a good man and will give the Prez room to hire a new AD God help whoever it is because the BOR has traditionally been lackluster.

I disagree with the banner ! I too am a LONG TIME passionate UNT fan, alum and I am also frustrated with the poor management of our football and basketball programs. But I think that the problem includes RV yet is bigger than RV. The BOR and the Administration have never fully pumped the athletic program the way a Division I University requires in order to be competitive more often than not. A firm decision from the Board, the President and the Administrative leadership CAN AND WILL put UNT over the top but for some reason (?) they timidly drag their feet. UNT can win consistently as well as fill Apogee and the Pit regularly and showcase UNT, however all the Head Coach and AD replacements will only continue to mean nothing without REAL COMITTMENT from the BOR, President and administrative leadership . No, I am not for the banner, it's short sighted and misses the larger problem.

I know there are excuses for some not showing up for the Thursday night UNT game, work, classes, frustration. But if EVER we needed to be in our seats at Apogee it's this Thursday night to back up Chico and the boys on the field and to show that for all of our rants we really are Blood Green , long haul supporters ! GO MEAN GREEN, IT CAN HAPPEN FOR US SOONER THAN YOU THINK !!

Drove by Apogee and through the athletic complex parking lot Sunday, noticed a player or two drifting to the the main building by the practice field. But what stood out most was the reserved parking pole that no longer had Coach Mac's sign on it. Just a pole now standing by RV's space. Will never forget the Mean Green HOD championship team , the Cotton Bowl crowd and Mac with the trophy. Great year for me and my son. Time to reload and move on.

Moses " Coach Mac" pointed the way out of the desert in the HOD Bowl. What has happened to UNT football and basketball since then?!?!?. Please send some manna, forty more years you think ?

Have any of you done a key position comparison with our NT players vs smu given what we know post Baylor game? Can our guys keep their QB in the pocket ? He is GOOD on his feet but after that limited. I believe our offense , running and passing, is up to it ( better than last year in running and receivers). Your take?

Tickets sold for UNT a while ago was said to be about 4K to 5K. Does that total include the number of UNT students who are expected to attend. If so I am hoping for a lot more students. Any new updates?

I know I probably missed Brett's or other explanations on this, but what is the short answer for UNT having a bye week in the first week of the season? Seems like it really jams up the rest of the schedule for the players.

I called the UNT Ticket Office and I was told that bus seats to the smu game were not available for alums ! Is that correct ? Are we left out ?

Where do you go for bus tickets ???

Are there busses? Me and friends will pay for the cost of riding there and back from the smu win, what has to happen to get a fan bus ?
