It's the most wonderful time of the year...

Chatted up a good friend and coworker who's a TCU alum and who I'm bringing to a game sometime this season -- he hates it and says AA lot of his brethren are shaking their heads in shame. The blood streaks for the eyes are there, but he doesn't think Patterson has any faith in this uniform either.

There are 14 dorms now filled to the brim. Something like 6.5k beds. You know, I think I'll make a blog post detailing the new master plan and all that has changed over the last decade and a half and will be changing over the next 2 decades.

As much as I'm the "oh, I'm a young guy and love the modern direction Nike and UA takes these things!", this is a butt ugly uniform.

Not gonna lie, I've always been a fan of the crystal-y C-USA trophies. They got class.

The athletics fee increase being sent to ballot referenda was my second vote ever in the SGA Senate. The first being the We Mean Green Fund fee. These are two of my proudest contributions to the university, and really enjoyed helping to shepherd the WMGF as its Chair in subsequent years. We put a lot of proposed ideas into tangible actions and infrastructure, and I'm damned proud of it.

Having graduated high school with the back up QB to Tom Brady, Ryan Mallett, I'd tell ya I'd be freaking out as well. That guy's an ass but with a Howitzer for an arm.

Some good stuff:

I loved this article because it allows us to see Coach McCarney as more of the person he really is rather than a sporting figure shrouded by 'coach speak' that we endlessly analyze. I watched a few other interviews that were equally great. I'll post them here once I get back to a desktop.
