Where are they going?

I like MWC teams way more but going west is a beating on the team. When we were in the Big West some of those trips were long and the time change hurt. We did get towels though. Lol

Part of his tweet made me laugh. UTEP doesn’t get you into Texas recruiting nor TV. It does not. East of the Rio, sure. But not into Texas markets.

I’ve always thought the wing was kinda silly looking. It’s a great stadium but that part is cheesy. I know it can be taken down in an expansion and I wish that would happen.

That depends on if you like open air or indoor arenas. Apogee is a great venue to watch a game. It’s award winning for its construction, amenities, energy efficiency, and use of wind turbines that were not to blame during the freeze. Ford Center is an amazing concept and the center piece of a world class training facility and destination entertainment complex. Although it is smaller it serves the Cowboys and local kids well as a great place to play or practice. That said, there aren’t any football stadiums in Dallas worth debating, comparing, or mentioning.

I started laughing twice because of this thread name. Once on the radio when the song played and the second was when the commercial played. Too funny.

A push would be to start splitting hairs about historical events long gone while trying to add modern day political correctness and once again people are offended by trivial nonsense that really has no bearing on their lives. Complaining and addiction to outrage is all the rage by some people. Look no further than the UT school song. (I have no affinity for UT either but that is a massive stretch) Personally I’m getting offended that everyone is offended about everything. You can’t destroy and delete everything. The cancel politics bore me.

Good posts. People are always going to complain. People think they are so enlightened these days. In reality history will look at this era like it’s full of a bunch of idiots. As do a lot of people around the world currently do. Right now everyone is offended by everything. Either way last I checked Mexico rebelled against Spain. I seriously doubt they feel bad in Mexico about it. That level of self loathing is reserved for people addicted to bitching about our country.

I flew out there to watch us play a few years back. It was an expensive weekend and we lost. It sucked.

UTEP is a tough place to recruit. I use to live in EP. It’s not for everyone and academically it’s not great.

Somewhat agree. No idea how this shakes out. But don’t think for a second Houston is relevant either or they’d be there. It’s pretty simple. The big programs are breaking away. The Baylor’s, TCU’s, or Tech’s are gonna get land somewhere before AAC teams. There will be a massive gap with the new rules. For me though, with the paying of players, and football conferences being broken up again I will probably stop watching college except NT games live with friends. I’m pretty much there now. Hell, I’m not even watching the Olympics, NBA, or MLB anymore. NFL is more entertaining for me now anyway. I really don’t care about Texas or LSU or whatever. NFL has the best players. Love beers on Thursday, Sundays, and Mondays too.

Seriously, SMU ain’t gonna fill the shoes of UT and OU. If the Big 12 doesn’t fold you’ll see a UCF type join. However, now that paying players is legal they might be in good shape. If killing hookers isn’t frowned upon then they will be unstoppable.
