  1. Final was 102-43. Pacific was 0-16 in Conference this season.
  2. "unlocked doors after hours". Maybe this should be addressed as a first line of defense. Otherwise hire $20/ hour nightguards to patrol it.
  3. The original intent of NIL was not to be a salary, or outright bribe to attend a certain school, but that's what it has turned into. This has caused outright bidding for players now. With aid of the Portal, it's open market free agency for transfers. Also, lower level programs have become minor leagues or feeder programs to the levels above them.
  4. Oregon wants their helmets back! Too bad we don’t have a complete helmet logo we can use.
  5. The project already started last October and will go for 2 1/2 years... October 16, 2023:  Begin Construction April 15, 2026:  Estimated Completion
  6. Memphis (at home) was losing to UAB at halftime 46-61. Memphis in 2nd half outscores UAB 60-26 to win 106-87.
  7. ESPN, or another media rights bidder, will determine which school's brand have the most value to offer, as far as media goes, if they trim down the MWC roster. Obviously, the PAC Conference brand > MWC brand in name recognition and media value. 8 schools is the NCAA minimum number to keep a conference whole. There is a 2-year waiver if membership falls below that. The 2-year clock for OSU/WSU starts with the 2024-25 sports year. If the PAC-2 / ESPN cherry pick from the MWC, I'd rank the programs as: Boise, SDSU, Fresno, AF, UNLV, Colo St, Wyoming, Utah St, Nevada, UNM, Hawaii, SJSU Major media city connections = San Diego, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Denver, Honolulu, Reno, Albuquerque Here is the current MWC map. Oregon St and Washington St would fit in nicely but their fans will not be happy if it's under the MWC banner.....
  8. You can call it "grad school" but we all know the real reason$ he went to K$U.
  9. Sometimes it's the season outcome that sways the HOF voting. The NCAA win over Purdue and winning the NIT were both generational events for NT Athletics.
  10. 10-2 and even 9-3 will be difficult in these new Super Conferences. Fans used to those years and now suddenly supporting a program 7-5 will immediately demand a QB change or Coaching change, or both! Get your popcorn ready! 🍿
  11. Difficult to say. In this new (stupid) era of NIL and Portal, HOF qualifications will have to be based solely on limited-time players in the program. The impact a player (or coach) had on a program's success will have to be the deciding factor. Two-year players like Javion Hamlet and Tylor Perry obviously helped elevate our basketball program. Or was it Coach Grant McCasland that elevated it over a longer period of time? Or all three?
  12. Agree. The wins in the NCAA over Purdue and NIT basketball over Okla St and Wisconsin were that. Let's have more of it!
  13. I would add Northwestern and maybe Illinois to the chopping block, but they probably bring the Chicago media market so doubt it happens. As you mentioned, some of these programs were good in single sports or certain small time frames, but overall they underperform and are just Conference fodder for the other schools.
  14. We have both grown and we have moved up. It wasn’t too long ago we were in a Conference with Nicholls St, NW St, SFA. Now we have a Conference with Army, Memphis, Tulane, etc.
  15. From the drawings it appears yes, Airport Rd will become a turn off Bonnie Brae, with a traffic signal... BBPH3 –PROJECT OVERVIEW Widen & reconstruct the 2-lane rural road to a 4-lane divided urban street between FM1515 and Parvin, continuing same along new alignment between Parvin and Roselawn. Project includes both water and wastewater improvements as well as street lighting and a sidewalk/sidepath on either side of the street. Traffic signals will be installed at Roselawn, Willowwood, and FM 1515/Airport Rd. PROJECT SCHEDULE August 15, 2023:  Council Award project to contractor October 16, 2023:  Begin Construction \ April 15, 2026:  Estimated Completion (weather dependent) Enlink gas line relocations and lowering may also affect construction schedule
  16. They should have done this 15 years ago before the stadium opened. That tiny rural road going in there is pitiful.
  17. You won't have to worry about any $mut turnout at Dickies Arena in the AAC Tourney...
  18. Correct. The MWC Commish is trying to put an "all or none" face on it, but in reality, any that the PAC ask will move over if the PAC payout vs buyout is positive. I expect the PAC-2 to try and cherry pick the best of the MWC based on media rights opinions.
  19. New Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould considering all options https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/39625392/new-pac-12-commissioner-teresa-gould-considering-all-options
  20. UMass basketball has struggled for a few years. They used to be like Big East quality. Sorta like Georgetown, Temple, and DePaul. Elite programs in the past, but not recently.
  21. Fans whine about the AD not trying to attract students to games. Then whine when they do something to make it easy for students to attend the Tourney and in turn help the team!
  22. They may form a playoff between themselves, then a Super Bowl of sorts between SEC and Big10. But they need other FBS schools to play OOC games with so they can all get their 7 home football games and 20 home basketball games, etc. It will be fun to see OU, Oregon, USC, Penn St, A&M, etc start going 6-6 during the football seasons, because of increased opponent strength. There will be more coaches fired and calls to split apart these Mega-Conferences.
  23. Wyoming and the MWC are peer schools we should try to schedule. Much better than any FCS!
