  1. The players have voted for Black seatbacks with Green-trim cupholders...
  2. "This change....will reduce capacity of these sections." If you take the tour of Boston's Fenway Park you will learn that baseball stadium was built in 1912. The wooden grandstand seats, with metal armrests, are very narrow and were based on the average adult width back in 1912 (112 years ago for those counting along). New modern seats are wider, and accompanying code changes would result in the loss of 4000 seats.
  3. This basically eliminates the former PAC12 from consideration. Is this format good for the AAC? "The College Football Playoff board of managers is expected to vote Feb. 20 on a model that would include the five highest-ranked conference champions and the next seven highest-ranked teams in the 12-team playoff this fall -- a format change that could finally get the unanimous backing it needs if the Pac-12 agrees to it." https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39520319/college-football-playoff-board-managers-expected-vote-5-plus-7-format
  4. The only thing we can count on is $mut fans acting like $mut fans.
  5. $mut is still irrelevant to Dallas, no matter how much fake news space the DMN gives them!
  6. Didn't say you implied anything, was just expounding and agreeing that Stone is mainly in the game for his defense, but is also an offensive liability.
  7. Stone does great on defense but has no confidence on offense so he usually declines to shoot, even if open. Our opponents know this, so they flex off guarding him and focus on guarding our real shooters which hurts us even more.
  8. Developing and playing more of the roster early in the season would totally help this. Being out of gas or not having enough players to finish should never be a reason to lose in basketball when you can carry 15.
  9. Allen! Allen = 16 points, Sissoko = 2
  10. Disagree. The losses were by 12, 3, 3, 5, and 3 pts. Three of the losses were on the road. We led several of the games for majority of the game. Bad endings mostly.
  11. ? There was a section behind one of the backboards labeled "Caniac Student Section", but it was empty. ?
  12. A player like Chris Morgan, 6-8 240. Big body, probably great kid and teammate. 3rd year on the team and hasn't seen the floor. We need more Robert Allen types for next season. If Morgan is a starter next year shouldn't he be worthy of some time this season?
  13. In related NIL news today... Judge keeps NCAA's restrictions on NIL in place for now "A judge on Tuesday kept in place for now the NCAA's rules prohibiting name, image and likeness compensation from being used as a recruiting inducement, denying a request for a temporary restraining order by the states of Tennessee and Virginia. The attorneys general of those states filed a federal antitrust lawsuit in the Eastern District of Tennessee last week that challenged the NCAA's NIL rules, after it was revealed the University of Tennessee was under investigation by the association for potential infractions." ... https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39472872/judge-keeps-ncaa-restrictions-nil-place-now
  14. I'm not talking 12-15 guys "significantly contributing" every game. I'm talking about being ready and able to contribute something to the cause (in case of injuries). We have guys that I've never seen in a real game, or maybe 5 minutes for the whole season. I don't claim to know all the coaching strategies(?) like some posters on this board. But, again, why carry players you never intend to play except in practice scrimmages? If your team has injuries, like a team I know, then your non-players will be forced to play anyway. Shouldn't you want guys #9-15 that can contribute in some way in a real game more than as just a cheerleader on the bench?
  15. This is the problem. The student?/athlete will say he is hostage at NT and being denied the right to earn a big payday. He will sue to get early release from his commitment....and we're back to where we are now. Doesn't sound much like college football anymore.
  16. This is all a slippery slope. Now they want to go back to defined commitment letters or contracts for periods of time to the school, lol. Not all athletes in all sports warrant NIL contracts....unless you deem the scholarship a financial contract (which it is).
  17. Yes, he was very good for Athletics. Dr. Pohl and President "Jitter" Nolen were other school Presidents that were also very supportive and forward thinking as far as Athletics in the past 50 years. It makes a BIG difference if the school Prez supports Athletics or not. Let's hope the next President checks that box too!
  18. It’s crazy to limit this team to only 6 or 8 useable players. We can carry up to 15 on the roster. If the bench guys are not worthy then replace them with new recruits.
  19. Sending Volleyball, etc to California and up and down the East coast won't be easy on students or fans. Oh wait, no fans....just hard on the students.
  20. We should be focused on recruiting the portal over HS. Players can't portal out again until they graduate. As soon as a HS recruit in our program player shows potential he's offered $ by larger programs. The way for us to retain players is kill the portal opt-out by recruiting more mature, college-experienced transfers from the beginning.
  21. 20-year-olds don't think the world existed before them. They don't want to be told about it.
  22. Labor board regional official clears way for Dartmouth hoops union "Unionizing would allow the players to negotiate over not only salary but working conditions, including practice hours and travel.' Lol https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/story/_/id/39466589/nlrb-regional-official-clears-way-dartmouth-hoops-union
  23. Half of the ACC wants out of that conference to try and join the Big10 or SEC. If Florida State ever finds the key to escape then the ACC won't be what they are today.
  24. When a defense ranks near the bottom of the entire FBS, major changes needed to be made, both in players and coaches. It was a disaster from game one to the end of season. Not making a DC change or adding 3x the amount of defensive players just says history will repeat itself again...
