i don't think that's his point in the article, the whole thing is about how A&M is getting more attention right now than UT is... so as an example he starts talking about viewership of games... so if you think the same amount of KU and ISU fans watch games as Kentucky or Vandy, you are probably pretty far off... because those schools still have a much better die-hard fanbase than the Cyclones or Jayhawks (at least in football)
