  1. For those with Children or Grandchildren involved in activities that occur on Saturday the 6:00 PM time works best.
  2. I just have one question. How does a running back who was held to -9 yards by Prairie View and 9 yards by Central Arkansas and who has rushed for a total of 143 yards over the past 3 years gain 140 yards against us in one game? https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/4431423/jayveon-sunday
  3. One of our most dedicated fans passed away this past week. Despite being the victim of a devastating crime that left her physically disabled she lived a full life and loved the Mean Green. Shelley Anne Alexander | Obituaries | dentonrc.com This part of her obituary referencing her Celebration of Life makes me smile too. "SMU or Texas fans will be barred at the door. We know this would make her smile."
  4. OK State Fan Claims That Team Will Quit After Saturday's Game (heartlandcollegesports.com)
  5. Good week to make the defensive adjustments that are needed. In addition, the ACU game will be a good game to make real time tweaks for the remainder of the season. Couldn't have come at a better time.
  6. Tarleton State hosted North Alabama and had 20,127 in Stephenville. That is about 1000 less than we had for California. https://www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore/_/gameId/401540201
  7. Seth is responsible for all this. If he had just taken the Kansas State job that he was offered we would likely be in much better shape.
  8. It asked for three things by Friday morning: a cancellation of Wednesday's meeting, no voting rights for the 10 departing schools, and a final confirmation that the only representatives on the Pac-12 board are from Oregon State and Washington State. Oregon State, Washington State file complaint against Pac-12 - ESPN
  9. Why would we need a basketball add? If we have east/west divisions it might make sense, but otherwise 13 teams would be fine. Before we joined there were 11 teams.
  10. https://www.sportsmediawatch.com/college-football-tv-ratings/ We were highest ranked ESPNU broadcast.
  11. Will SMU be the Rutgers of the ACC? SMU Expansion: A Questionable Move Into Dallas For The ACC | Watch (msn.com)
  12. Paul Finebaum 'congratulates' ACC for essentially leading to its own demise with Cal, Stanford, SMU additions (msn.com)
  13. Cal had a decent number of fans. I was surprised by the number that I saw at the Club Level.
  14. Well said. I concur. I said for the amount I give I am not paying $15 bucks for printed tickets. Message was heard. I have complained in the past about people constantly sitting in my seats at basketball games and have been ridiculed on this board every time so don't expect sympathy here. This time when my family goes to our 6 club seats 3 were occupied by folks who said we just saw these seats and decided to sit here. I did get invited to breakfast once, several years back as I recall, but that was it.
  15. I was at DATCU Stadium today and saw the middle three sections on the student side for the first few rows covered with green tarp with adds for Rosa's, Marty B's, DATCU etc. Is this an AAC rule? I don't remember it being there last year.
  16. Are we the Rodney Dangerfield of FBS? AAC rumors: Washington State, Oregon State drawing interest (clutchpoints.com) From a football standpoint, Washington State and Oregon State would increase the competitiveness of the conference. In the long run, that's for the best. Oregon State and Washington State are also relatively larger brands than some of the smaller schools in the AAC like North Texas or Charlotte.
  17. ACC is so anxious to get into Texas that they are willing to pay SMU zero, zilch, nada.
  18. Stanford, the bell-cow of the group, and Cal are proposing to forgo a majority of revenue distribution for multiple years if they receive an invitation to the conference. The schools have agreed to start at 30% of distribution, or about $8 million each. SMU will forgo at least seven years without distribution and as many as nine. However, those figures are fluid and discussions are ongoing. https://sports.yahoo.com/sources-acc-presidents-to-meet-on-conference-expansion-on-monday-night-173527541.html
  19. Navy/Wichita State are currently in the West and Navy likes playing games in Texas. In addition, Navy and Air Force play each other every year. It would make more sense to switch them out with Tulsa since Navy only plays football in the conference.
  20. Kobalt bucket fan works great. At low speed the charge is supposed to last 6 hours.
  21. The Congressional Historic Stadium Caucus, established by co-chairs Congressmen Garret Graves, R-La., and Mark Pocan, D-Wis., was launched with intentions to update some of college football’s most historic stadiums, many of which are over 100 years old, and enhance their capabilities. Ole Miss, Mississippi State football stadiums targeted by Congress for upgrades - SuperTalk Mississippi Obviously, our federal budget must have a surplus and they can think of nothing better to do with it.
  22. Big 12 is backup option for Stanford and Cal and... if Stanford and Cal aren't invited to the ACC...by the middle of next week, ... their discussions with the Big 12 will get that much more serious. If they do end up heading towards the Big 12 option, Michael Silver of the SF Chronicle also reported that Oregon State and Washington State would also be joining them as well. Stanford and Cal reportedly exploring the possibility of joining the Big 12 - Sports Illustrated All Cardinal News, Analysis and More
  23. Charlotte makes the cut. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/38240986/2023-preseason-college-football-bottom-10
