No, it really isn't that hard to find probable cause...if you know what you're doing. The problem with some of these smaller departments though is that they don't do a very good job of "enunciating and articulating" their reasons for contact/search. The collection of talent in Booger, Awasom, Buckles, Spencer, Casey, Kassell, Hurd, Pruitt, Cardwell, etc on defense was one that I don't think you'll see for a long time to come. That defense combined with an offensive line that understood the Dickey offense (and was healthy enough to run it) was an anomaly in today's Belt. I think Troy could repeat this year but I don't see a 4-peat as possible.

I look at rivals periodically and I have to say the number of players listing North Texas as an option has grown quite a bit recently. Could the players who have already committed have anything to do with this? I would like to think they do. I also notice that we have 13 offers out there listed on rivals.

Through your, admittedly, "specious" logic you are also making the assumption that players would rank the above schools in a hierarchy and only choose NT if they were unable to sign with the higher ranked programs. If you take into account that NT might have just been a better fit and not just a last resort after the other schools wouldn't have panned out then Tristan may well be the best or among the best of those signed out of Brewster.
