  1. Neither did churn out 2000 yards when they won the rushing titles. Jamario set the single season record with just over 1,800. Of course with 2002's defense we wouldn't have needed to lead the nation in rushing to win the last few years. That defense with a minimal offense would have taken us to at least 6 or 7 wins.
  2. I was there and watched for about an hour. Two words: Blake Cantu
  3. Bingo. It's akin to finding God in prison. Other that four walls and ways to cover your corn hole there aint much else to find.
  4. Because NT also sells orange, blue and purple shirts...in our on campus bookstore.
  5. The department just had our city wide signup and I was able to move to the station right next to my house working 8p-4a with Saturday and Sundays off. Come to think of it this is kinda football related...the only thing I had as a definite need was Saturdays off.
  6. Ahhh the sweet memories of football and date rape drugs....what?
  7. Ditto. Getting to park where we always set up and having our world class tailgate undisturbed will be the best $50 I'll spend all year. I'll just scalp my orange pass to someone who wants to park closer to the stadium!
  8. This means one of two things: 1)He wasn't expected to play heavy minutes and was therefore expendable as a fall guy showing how "tough" UT is on rulebreakers 2)There is way more to this story and better to give him the boot before it's exposed (ala OU)
  9. So they finally admit that they are no national powerhouse?
  10. I agree. With a news stadium we could broadcast our own games, put our own spin on wins AND losses and even do local weather. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist...it was all in good fun.
  11. Don't take our word for it. Take the word of recent recruit Derek Tomlin Or Lance Dunbar
  12. Fouts is the only place where our facilities aren't on par with just about anyone.
  13. My wish list among those who show interest in NT according to rivals. QB Steven Darrow http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=64955 Looks like the kind of QB you could use in the spread. WR Blake Cantu http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=49053 Another SLC receiver with impressive skills. Seems to be leaning toward Oregon or Northwestern though. Lanear Sampson http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=58289 Shows an offer from us and several BCS programs. Forrest Rucker http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=62095 Size alone makes him intriguing. OL Cameron Kaufhold http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=58091 Offer from NT Sam Schwartzstein http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=64354 Ditto. Plus he's a SLC kid. DE Jeremy Gray http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=62893 My #1 choice if we could have had anyone. Shows to have committed to Ok State but I'm still holding out hope. Good D-ends don't grow on trees. ATH Troy Stoudermire http://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/viewp...sp?pr_key=57852 Good looking athlete with speed. On a side note, Derek Tomlin and Kenny Barrett still don't show as commits.
  14. Brett didn't do the W/L predictions this year...the Dave Campbell's staff did.
  15. But here is the vital difference, one that the MUTS seem to conveniently forget every time. Football is a sport. In sports there is a winning team and a losing team. When NT and MUTS faced off in 2001 MUTS was the losing team. You can say what you want until you are blue in the face (pun intended) but when the chance to prove who was the better team arose you lost. And you can't call it luck, a fluke, or whatever...I think we went on to win about 26 straight SBC games after that.
  16. Pretty cool...they even included our December stadium.
  17. Sounds like a commitment from him would be tentative at best.
  18. No, it really isn't that hard to find probable cause...if you know what you're doing. The problem with some of these smaller departments though is that they don't do a very good job of "enunciating and articulating" their reasons for contact/search. Leads to a lot of cases pitched out if the arrestee is smart enough to challenge the search. All I was asking was, if there was a legitimate reason for search, why not state it?
  19. I humbly disagree. I've always enjoyed the ones with patios...Rip's, Lucky Lou's...more.
