I have to second this Evan Johnson. "You turn on the tape" and this guy can flat move! Will be fun to see this guy getting after it. I think we will be pleasantly surprised with this recruiting class. Not sure I buy into the whole star classification and etc.

Wren Baker, one of the largest recruiting websites, 247sports.com still doesn't have our official logo. (Logo is hideous actually) This is a huge site for potential recruits and we need to have this updated ASAP. I'm a MG Club Member, will renew again this year, and I'm excited and optimistic about the future of Mean Green football and athletics. I truly believe this staff can continue finding great talent and can keep the momentum going... we would be seeing a big up tick in ticket sales if we could have continued to win following HOD 2013. This group gets it... From evaluating good talent, relates better with the players and what motivates them and etc... It's an exciting time for the Mean Green Nation. I will be renewing my season tickets again this year, no doubt. #GMG

I doubt we will be coming out with new unis because the HOD patch is already placed on these. You can see it on their left shoulder. I hope Littrell & Wren have a trick left and will surprise us all but I bet it will be with the helmet.

I love this, go Vito. I think this team is still underrated and will find even more excitement being in "our Home Bowl Game, HOD" and all the extra fans that will be attending the game! Really hoping for another 2013 HOD type game! GMG

I thought his pregame speech before the UTEP game was awesome. I'm just shocked that they weren't really fired up after that....and we later saw the team lacked this excitement during the game as well. Regardless, love what this new coaching staff has done, and continue to do, turning this program around. No doubt we will be a consistent contender for conference championships.

And to add to the bright side... Navy totally destroyed SMU 75-31 in Dallas tonight, ending SMU's chance for a bowl game. Love it!!

Couldn't agree more with both of these statements. Really all phases were frustrating! No doubt the Defense being the most disappointing tonight. We expected the defense to come out fighting as they did most of the year. (Giving up 52 to UTEP and only 33 to a very good Florida team, doesn't make sense). Almost all of their points tonight coming straight up the middle too. This should stop a lot of the talk about SL possibly getting picked up by other programs as well. No doubt that it was a great season but we still have a long way to go. Definitely on the right track. Hopefully the team continues to learn how to "handle a win and prepares the following week".

Please play Fine if he is available. Can't stand watching Morris play... watching him today reminded me of his play against SMU!!

not a bad throw against their 2nd or 3rd teamers. Can't believe he just slid down a yard short of the first down, when it was 3rd down...great you are protecting yourself for the 5th quarter.

Morris is showing why he would have never played at Bama. Kinda surprised Saban kept him on scholarship for even 4 years. A true freshman comes in and plays as good, or better, than a 5h year senior. Frustrating!

Agree, just walking around all game with no excitement or energy! I would be pissed if I was a coach and my players not showing any life!! No excuse for it.

Fred Scott #32 groin is obviously still hurt. Hopping around and not attacking the hole. Wish he would come out and let Brandon Garner play instead! Doing a disservice to the team trying to play hurt.

I was looking up the injury that Fine appears to have, as earlier indicated by reports, which appears to be an AC joint injury. Here's a pretty nice site explaining the injury and the typical recovery time. Depending on the Grade of the injury, Grade1-4, he could be out for as little as a week, but most are saying 2-6 weeks. I doubt they will risk it if he is even questionable and I'd imagine we will see Morris this next game against S.Miss. Great story! These two look like fantastic finds. You can tell they have an extra gear and are a step above everyone around them. This coaching staff is recognizing talent, unlike previous staff. Very exciting! Not surprised players are choosing NT, who wouldn't like to play for this staff!! Especially when these guys play on this side of the ball (Ekeler & Reffett) Coach Ekeler has me wanting to run out there and play for him with that excitement!! GMG

Our offensive line is also running a totally new system, not what they were recruited to do. Most of these lineman didn't run this style of offense in HS. This is a big reason for our tough and challenging times both passing andy running. This is get fix along with lots of other things but I have total confidence in this staff and the direction they have us headed. Also, Harrell is going to be fantastic, he's having to run a watered down version due to the lack of skilled players for this type of offense. Again, this staff has done a tremendous job with less than a year on the job. Don't worry, it's a new Denton and new expectations are in place. Go Mean Green!

And why didn't we use a timeout earlier?! Had all three of them after the 1st and goal play. Had over a minute left!! Instead, we run the clock all the way down to 20 seconds on 2nd down. Get your head in the game guys

I don't care who we are playing. My ultimate wish would be us playing again in the HoD Bowl again. The local hype and support would be fantastic for local recruiting. The 2013 HoD Bowl was amazing and I'm confident we would be able to continue this momentum under the fantastic leadership of our President, AD, Littrell and coaching staff. Not to mention what this staff will be able to do with recruiting!! Exciting times in #NewDenton #UNTouchable

IMHO, not a fan of the all green top and bottom, my least favorite. White pants, black pants, gray pants, anything but green pants with the green tops. The all green makes us look like marsians or green blobs, nothing to break it up. My favorite uniform combo are the ones we wore last week, white helmets/green top/white pants. Second would be the all white look, very clean! (could wear green or black helmets with the all white uniforms. The all black uniforms with the carbon fiber helmet we wore in the HOD bowl game was also pretty darn tight. At the end of the day, it's what the players want to wear, they are the ones busting their rear ends. Let's get wins and we can have even better gridiron gear next year for them! As a side note. Several years back we dropped the blue in our official school colors and added black and silver. So our school colors are actually Kelly Green, Black, and Silver! Not sure why some get rattled when we bring in black to our uniforms. Again, IMHO, I think the Kelly green looks fantastic with black. The black makes the Kelly green color pop! The black makes us look mean and dirty...so making us look like we are black (mean and/or evil) and Green (hip with the school colors/ Scrappy)
