I agree, Hank maybe a great guy but shouldn't be AD and run our athletic dept.. We really need someone with fresh ideas. Obviously the ones in the past weren't working.

I can't stand the color green or the look we had under Mac. The color looked like a hwy sign, a dull green. It needs to be a brighter shade of green, similar to what we have on our helmets. That color of green is very popular right now! Hopefully they make the numbers bigger too. The small numbers on the green uniforms this year were awful. I think once we find an awesome uniform we will stick to it, just haven't found one yet.

This staff's decision to pickup JUCO's is the right move for us right now. He realizes we don't have 3-4 years of waiting around for HS freshman to lead this team and its new system. Get those guys who can make a difference today, win some games, and use this story of success. Highlighting the turn around for this program, selling the future, and going after the better HS recruits. This heavy focus on JUCOs is a quick, short term fix and the staff knows this. The remaining players from last years team didn't play the style of football that is being established. Again, these JUCOs can fill in the gaps and make a difference for the next couple of years. Allowing his Freshman a little time to grow within the system. This coaching staff wants to win and im excited to see their excitement, fresh ideas and creating this new brand of MEAN GREEN FOOTBALLS!

I've been in the locker room several times and it's not impressive by any means. Look at other D1 schools and this is an area that should be Improved. Excited about increasing and improving the quality of our social media campaigns as well. Like what this new staff is doing! Refreshing, old fart and his mini Mac free scholarship pet project, was totally off and out of touch with today's kiddos. Excited for the new AD too. We need new blood in this position too.

I don't mind our all white unis that much, they're actually my favorite, just behind our all black 2012 HoD Bowl uniforms and helmets. I just don't like our all green uniforms at all, especially the small font and numbers on them! Hopefully this new young coaching staff will have a say in getting new young and hip uniforms as well. Excited to see this new era of Mean Green football.

Wallace was awful and only started due to lack of talent, and injuries, at that position. Coach Littrell, and This coaching staff, has done more in recruiting in the first couple of months than Mac did in several years..Remember, not only did Littrell have to get a recruiting class together in a couple months, he also had to put a coaching staff together! He has done, along with the rest of this coaching staff, a tremendous job so far. They're the reason I have renewed my season tickets. If we don't give them our full support now then we are to blame as well if this doesn't workout. IMO, I don't care how big the recruits are. Obviously if they are equal, I'll take the bigger guy, but I would rather have the best athlete. If they're athletes then sign them and plug them in where they are needed. I think this new younger coaching staff gets this new style/era of football and will get it right. It's not going to happen over night, especially since the hole was so deep, but this coaching staff will turn it around. We just need to be a little patient with the whole new coaching staff and new AD! Russell Wilson is only 5'11" 215 pounds and I'd take him all day in the run and shoot offense that's being installed.

Vito, While I like the write up overall, I don't see why we state that local TCU is the "dream scholarship". In addition, discussing the recruiting battle between NT and SMU and only listing a SMU commit over NT. The reader might also like to see this article include a statement discussing a NT commit over SMU, especially when you are a sports writer for the DentonRC that specifically covers the Mean Green... IMO

Who cares about SMU! Why do some of you care so much, it really is comical. They are horrible!

I'm a MGC member and would like to attend both scrimmages on April 2 and 9th. Does anyone know the times yet? Wish I could make the Green & White game but I'll be out of town.

I can see this being a possibly. GP isn't going to let both leave regardless. Might let one go but definitely not both of them. The wallet will open quickly.

They need to have a special drill for him during practices. Have him run and tackle some one immediately after he throws the ball! He could tackle the trainer pouring the Gatorade. Save us at least a couple touchdowns per game.

She seems to have the fire to win! maybe we recruited the wrong Greer sibling?! i hope he never sees the playing field again.... I don't see any real upside for us playing him.

Greer?! Really!! This is why Canalas doesn't need to be HC or even QB coach!

Not only is this just his 3rd start and game playing but he has fast the top two teams in CUSA!! (Another top team next week too against LaTech) so much better than any other QB we have on this roster. Coach Mac was obviously close friends with miniMac's dad to continue to let him be the starter. This is just another example of his stubborn personality. The game has changed and he hasn't (offense especially) cost us a lot.

It's not a mistake that we scored more points tonight than we have all year. Just makes me sick that Coach Mac would be that stubborn to start his friend's son over putting Smith at QB and winning! I think Canales wanted to start Smith but Coach Mac wouldn't allow it. I also hope we don't have Canales as our future head coach and we get someone who can recruit! Our entire defense is not athletic. I like how Coach Art Briles of Baylor recruits ATHLETES and plugs them where they are needed on the team. Gary Patterson of TCU does the same. I would love to see Coach Art Briles son, Kendal Briles, as our new head coach.

The only thing we will hear on Monday is how well A-Mac played and the WR just didn't give him a chance! Coach Mac will talk about his coaching days at Florida when they won the National Champiosnhip! That championship team had nothing to do with Urban Meyer being the head coach. Haha

I would agree with your statement of having at least 2 wins. The defense gives up and eventually the whole team gives up, when the offense can't move the ball. Defenses now know they can play man and blitz all day long against us. A-Mac is not a running or throwing threat. He rarely throws to a WR that's more than 5-10 yards from him. T.Goree lines up on the edge and had been thrown to less than 10 times the entire season!! He was one of our top recruits and we can't get him the ball. Give Smith the start and give the team the spark they are so desperately needing right now!!

His ego is getting the way again? I truly believe he is scared to let D.Smith play and possibly get this offense moving. This would make his decision to keep playing his fav, A-Mac, a hard sell. We all know Greer isn't the future so what's the point!! Embarrassing. Time to fire McCarney. Players dont believe in Greer or A-Mac!! Yeah Dan, looks like he doesn't know the playbook well enough to put the only points on the board of the entire game!!!! Quit trying to lie to us and I'm tired of your excuses.
