  1. You must be forgetting the Texas game. That was the only game where they played a similar number of plays against the same competition.
  2. If GMG.com had a hall of fame, I'd nominate you for this post alone.
  3. We blew out a team that didn't care. SMU put up 67 total yards, 0 points, and 7 first downs on Baylor last year. This year they put up 369 yards, 21 points, and 22 first downs. That is not a slight improvement. That is massive. They were terrible last year because their coach didn't care so the team didn't either. They got used to losing like the Dodge team that got its ass-whooped by Rice. Last year they committed 5 turnovers. I bet they don't give up more than 2 this year. Last year they got 276 yards on us, I'd wager you'll see that number nearly double this year. You guys are looking at the final sentence of the book without paying attention to the entire story. We were bad last year but only beat them because they were one of the worst FBS football teams of ALL-TIME. They are a COMPLETELY different program. If we lose Saturday, I won't be of the "sky is falling" crowd because I saw it coming. I hope that when DMac finally comes to his senses and benches McNulty in favor of Smith, he will let Smith take his lumps and grow rather than giving up and putting the experienced player (that can't win) in like he did last year.
  4. Mark my words, This will be the only matchup that matters at the end of the game. v
  5. What part of these stats leads you to believe we can move the ball on them? We didn't move the ball well against them at all last year. We were very fortunate that our defense was jacked up and their offense was so terrible that we had a short field most of the game. We kicked a boatload of field goals because we couldn't move the ball more than 30 yards in a drive. If the coaches believe this same garbage, we are gonna get our asses kicked.
  6. Someone please show me the guaranteed wins on this schedule because I don't see them anymore.
  7. As much as it makes me want to throw up, I predict 48-12 bad guys win.
  8. You guys say that Smith hasn't had time to learn the offense in three weeks but also profess that McNulty has somehow gotten much better in the 3 weeks of fall camp. This is a redshirt senior that has the same offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach he has had his entire career. This is the same quarterback we were disappointed by in the spring game. How can you believe that after 4 seasons of not being a D1 quarterback that the light somehow flipped on in the last 3 weeks?
  9. All they have to compare is 2014 UNT to 2015 SMU. We all know 2014 UNT was bad and 2015 SMU looked pretty good against the #4 team in the country. It all seems pretty rational to me. Until we prove that 2015 UNT is better than 2014 UNT, and more importantly 2015 SMU, this is going to happen.
  10. I'm curious if after last night if most of you still believe the SMU game is a lock and that it will take Morris a long time to right the ship that June Jones left.
  11. If only we had a coach that wasn't too stubborn to use a qb that could run for 100yds.
  12. Makes a man feel good to be outnumbered in his own stadium. That is why the Aggies used to call Baylor's old stadium "Kyle Field North". No thanks.
  13. Yes, I wonder if our redshirt SENIOR can be as good as their redshirt FRESHMAN.
  14. If we could play only one school for the rest of time, I'd want it to be SMU because I want to beat them every year until time ends......or at least let them know how much I dislike them.
  15. This turns my stomach. Has us on his rivals list with Texas State being his only offer and he is 6'2". Unbelievable. 56. Tyler Jones, Texas State Jones nearly led Texas State to its first bowl appearance last season, recording 3,209 total yards and 28 overall scores. I have a feeling this one would've been revised if the ranking had come out after the Arizona game. 125. Blake Bogenshutz, UTSA Bogenshutz played in four games last season before taking a medical redshirt. Completed 8 of 14 passes for 82 yards against Oklahoma State in 2014.
  16. I'm just glad that he hadn't already been throwing passes to two of our best young receivers for 3 or more years prior to college.....oh wait.
  17. So NAU sub'ed us for SFA? A little lumberjack on lumberjack crime?
  18. Wow, that thread wasn't full of a-holes for a change. The dude saying he wouldn't listen to our 1 o'clock lab band for 5hrs before kickoff had me rolling.
  19. Marcia Staff was also a good business professor and fan of the Mean Green.
  20. Nieswadomy is good about it. I had a class of his with Zach Muzzy and he would always ask Muzzy about the games. McPherson was really good too(my fav prof), I had Denis Hopavac in his class. McPherson was going to be the faculty sponsor for a new spirit group my buddy and I were going to form because we that the Talons were lacking spirit. We got busy with other things and didn't end up forming the group but he was pro-UNT and athletics enough to be willing to sponsor us. I think I had Blake Burress in Dadres' class too. She is a Mean Green(and SMU for PhD) alum and proud to rep the green and white. Seemed to me that a bunch of the econ folks were sports nuts like me. Jewell is big on sports but mostly talked Cowboys from what I recall.
