Just out of curiosity, if given the choice which would you pick? Which would be more in-demand across the country if they hit the market at the same time? I’m not advocating for one or the other, just want to see which you would choose based on their collegiate resume. It is possible GJ Kinne wanted the JMU guy more than Chandler. It is also possible that Chandler Morris would rather attend North Texas than SWTSU-SM.

I imagine him committing to Texas State is part of the reversal of fortunes that @Ghost of Tate was referring to that allowed us to keep Chandler Morris.

I think he means the practices in fall after Morris shows or doesn’t show.

We were not 6-7 in 2022, we were 7-5 and 7-7 if you count our conference championship game and bowl game losses. Littrell was 7-6 and Bennett was 0-1.

I think the fact that he hasn’t played for his father though his 4 years of high school or his 4 years of college pretty much shows he can function fine on his own. Playing for your father or coaching under your father doesn’t seem to have set back Kendall Briles or Riley Dodge. If anything, they got a leg up because of the success of their fathers.

He has proven that he doesn’t need daddy to hold his hand but some of us love our fathers and spending time with them. If my dad was back in Texas coaching college ball and I only had a year or two left I would want to spend some time with him before my hourglass ran out of sand. This is probably why Jim Harbaugh had his dad as part of the staff at UM even though he didn’t need him there. Besides the dad/son relationship stuff, San Marcos and central Texas are a pretty sweet place to live.

Which left them without 3 of their top 4 quarterbacks from last season and also without their top incoming quarterback.

It just seems strange that Jayden de Laura withdraws from TSU-SM on Jan 24 and 2 days later Chad Morris becomes the passing game coordinator. A guy that just happens to have a P5 experienced quarterback in his family that is only verbally committed to this point.

Regardless of whether he intends to transfer to TSU-SM or not, he won’t play in spring practice at either school, and it seems he would have little good reason to say “no thanks” to us until after he graduates from TCU and has the ability to truly commit somewhere by enrolling.

We are above the schools ranked 71-75 only because our class size is bigger. They all have a higher average player ratings than we do.

Love it any time a celebrity shouts out the Mean Green. It was super cool when Seth Littrell was able to get Stone Cold to do it.

I will always believe that without the base of quality players Todd Dodge built we do not win that 2013-14 HOD bowl. I also think he had a hand in getting DATCU stadium built despite many saying that he had zero to do with it.
