Kason was not a FBS arm. Smart kid, great teammate, he went and played at a level more suited to his talent.

You guys may be right. He has legitimate 5-star size. I’ve stood close enough to put my arm around him since he has been in Austin so I can verify that part. We can revisit this in a few years but if you look at when he played against good schools in Louisiana, he played pretty poorly. Just look at the tape from his last HS playoff game. He is the product of notoriety. Barry Sanders Jr had plenty of offers too as did Snoop Dogg’s son. I will say after watching that game again, the University receiver/returner may be worth a pwo look.

Seems like paid content should have its own forum apart from the everyday content we are used to having around here. At the very least this should be moved to the recruiting forum.

Usually I agree with you Rogers but the early Sun Belt and the collapse of Big West football was the absolute best thing to happen to Dickey’s NT career. From October 13, 2001 to September 10, 2005, Dickey’s teams won 26 consecutive conference games. The streak was bookended by wins over the MUTS. The week before the streak started we lost to 2-9 conference mate ULM. The game that ended the streak was a loss to 4-7 Troy. The combined record for the 26 teams run through was 99-203. If you exclude the 26 losses from NT, their combined record was 99-177. Of those 26 wins, just three came against bowl-eligible teams. Additionally, we lost to future conference mates Troy at the end of ‘01 and FAU at the start of ‘04 which would’ve shrunken the streak to 13 games if they had been in our conference at the time.

That is not true. He helped sure but if Jalon Daniels is healthy Bean rarely sees the field. Lance Leipold took KU to new heights and Bean is a part of that but he is not THE reason. 2 TDs per interception sounds just like the guy who set the UNT record for most touchdown passes in a season.

I thought transfers could do whatever they want until the spring semester starts. Maybe he will flip to a different school before school starts back up.

I’m sure he will be fine. Littrell absolutely loved that kid so I am sure he will be taken care of in Norman.

He was only one recruiting class behind Mason Fine and was in the same class as Jaelon Darden. Darden has been in the NFL for 3 years.
