  1. We'll stomp a mud hole in them. The "Phog" is just another old gymnasium. What's a Jayhawk anyway? Cousin to a chicken hawk? If we aren't up by 20 at half, JJ should have to hitch hike back from Kansas.
  2. You can take Trooper Taylor off our list.
  3. NT vs. TTech His onscreen graphics around the 8:30 mark made me laugh. Wish I could have been there. Oh, and it is almost 15 minutes long, but worth it.
  4. I know that years ago, one of the staff members would scan the arena and make an educated guess and then report that as the attendance figure.
  5. Yep, and take a look at Big George's line. Pretty strong.
  6. Living out here in west Texas, I am going to have fun savoring this win. Lots of TTech fans out here. Now to decide which NT shirt to wear to work tomorrow!
  7. We only won by 9? Someone find the wood chipper, JJ should be fired!
  8. Who's a better judge about class? Well, considering the letter was written by a parent of a player and supported by 67 others, I would have to say Mrs. Gill has an inside track into how Coach Dodge handled himself and the young men on the team. Thanks for providing the irony.
  9. If we pay a coach $600K, doesn't RV's salary go up also. I believe it is written that he is to be paid a certain percentage higher than the highest paid coach. If true: 1. Pay off Dodge's contract. 2. Hire new coach at $600,000 3. Give RV a raise. Who's budget are we working with here?
  10. 25 years of experience with some big name coaches in successful programs would get the attention of others.
  11. We will be happy to ship it to Jonesboro. You have to pay for shipping.
  12. But Bustle has never been able to recruit with the new "double-wide" recruiting center nor reap the benefits of said facility.
  13. Don't forget to vote. Maybe we can all agree she is much more worthy than the Troy hag.
  14. I'm just thankful for the winning margin. JJ was going to be fired if we won be 25 or less.
  15. Guess what, the same can be said for hiring a name coach. Your response is pretty weak. I could've also named many more assistants that have become successful HC's. You're on the Levitt bandwagon, correct? I believe he was an assistant prior to being hired at USF. Wonder how or where he learned to be a head coach?
  16. You're right again. Oh wait, there was an article on the Dodge hiring and his background in USA Today, and if I am not mistaken, that is a national publication.
  17. What's your great concern with North Texas football? Aren't you a Missouri fan? What in the following coach's backgrounds suggested to the person in charge of hiring them that they would be a good head coach? Bob Stoopes Bill Snyder (when originally hired by BSU) Chris Peterson Dan Hawkins (when hired at BSU) Gary Patterson Kevin Sumlin Gene Chizik Chip Kelly
  18. Darn near every coach is fired at one time or another. Better cross Levitt, Mangino, Leach, Franchione, etc... off your wish list.
  19. Many reference Levitt and his building job at USF when communicating their desires for our program, while others reference Boise State, TCU or Utah. Please tell me which of these schools hired a coach, with a name, that was run off from his last job to build their current program? Boise State = Koetter USF = Levitt TCU = Franchione Utah = Meyer None of the above fit this description, and only Fran was D1 HC prior to their hiring, and he really was not what I would call a "name brand.". I would also argue that TCU's sustained success has come under Patterson, who was unknown and not a popular choice at the time of his hiring. The above programs got to where they are today based upon the success of the program, community involvement and a commitment from the university.
