  1. At least we won 4 SBC titles in football, the conference tournament in basketball a couple of times and golf, tennis and soccer championships. Then again, that wasn't my point. They haven't played a down of FBS football and think they will be competitive since they are replacing the lower half of the Sun Belt and have yet to win an FBS game or even be competitive in the Southland.
  2. "We are excited about adding these new members as part of our bold strategy that focuses on growing institutions in large media markets," Banowsky said La. Tech?
  3. Come on now. You are in the know, so spill the beans. Who's Hardwick replacing?
  4. 1. Keep bstnsportsfan3 away from our football games. 1a. Baseball 2. Upgrades to the Super Pit 3. Indoor practice facility for football (not sure why these are needed, but most big programs have them now.) 4. Center Court for tennis. 5. Track and Field facility to complete the Mean Green Village.
  5. "Our Jones? " Not a chance he was going to SMU. You seem like a pretty nice guy, but I am tired of comments from your school stating how you all can just cherry pick our coaches, players, etc...because we are from a "lesser " conference. You all should pay Coach Mac for scouting half of your OL football recruits since your high toned coach was busy tending to his nonexistent inner city ministry.
  6. Might I recommend physical therapy? You may throw out your shoulder patting yourself on the back. By the way, how do we sign Hardwick without losing someone? Seems like somebody is on their way out.
  7. This. Until we can count on Chris Jones to perform consistently in the classroom, we need all the insurance we can get.
  8. What I took from this was he stated that the Sun Belt was losing lower level schools and the upper level was staying intact. Really? He also states that it will be a good place for TSU-SM to become competitive. They weren't competitive in the Southland, so good luck with that. Honestly, after listening to this and reading all the stuff out of San Antonio, I would just assume both TSU-SM and UTSA either go to the Belt or head back to the Southland. Not impressed with how either has handled this. I hope TSU-SM gets their asses handed to them in every game this year.
  9. Delaney needs to concentrate on cleaning up the programs in his conference.
  10. May I ask why and what you prefer on the helmet?
  11. As I understand it, Benson can't place an exit fee because he must do what the university presidents want. They must agree to this fee, so he can say whatever he wants, but it doesn't matter unless he has the backing of the schools. Why did the Sun Belt presidents hire him?
  12. Would like to visit East Carolina and UTEP. Been to Rice, nice setting and the Super Dome and Legion Field, besides being in poor shape is also in a pretty bad neighborhood, our so I have been told.
  13. “I can’t even explain how I’m feeling right now,” Watson said. “The feeling is just too intense to explain. I’m still nervous. I’ve changed so much about what I do like eating habits just to come up to this point. It feels so good to get here.” http://www.mywesttexas.com/bulldogs/article_5dd60dba-91c1-11e1-b17a-0019bb2963f4.html
  14. Got it. I didn't venture over to the TSU-SM board.
  15. I picked Tech due to proximity, but Marshall would be a good choice due to our 1AA playoff history with the Thundering Turds.
  16. Who leads CrossFit and what are their qualifications?
  17. Congrats to La. Tech, but I would also prefer Louisiana Lafayette. Best fans around.
  18. Interesting that they list FIU as being in the 2013 Sun Belt.
  19. Since the perceived value of something free is typically close to zero, let's see how many of those "fans" stick around when they start trying to charge for those tickets.
  20. As a refresher, who committed and never showed up?
